Having problems with your Bissell 3590 CleanView Bagless Upright Vacuum ?

Motor still runs--sounds like jet engine. do I need a new motor? or is there some sort of muffler that has malfunctioned? vacuum belongs to disabled mom---so trying to do work ourselves--cant afford much. dont see anything obviously wrong--but know nothing about electric motors.

This little vac I think is actually made by Samsung. If it is ROARING and vibrating, either the bearings or suction fan is in bad shape. Remove the lid as if to inspect the belt and see if there is a visible intake opening with a plastic fan rotating inside. If so you have to inspect for damaged fan blade . A broken blade will cause the noise you describe and can be fixed on most vacs by carefully opening the fan housing and unscrewing, the fan from its threaded shaft. Then screwing on a new matching fan. Post back with more info and I`ll try to walk you thru the process

Have a Centralux Aerus about 5 years old. Don't see a model number. There is suction but beater brush quit working. Was using for a few minutes, shut it off for a few minutes, turned it back on and suction only. Tried the reset button also. Tried the sidekick attachment and it works fine. There was no smell like something was hot. Belt is fine. Are there any fuses or anything else to try? This vacuum cleaner has not really been used that much, it is hard to believe the motor would need replaced

There probably is a loose wire in the handle near the switch or a wire off near the swivel elbow near the vac power head. With the right fastener tool to remove some screws you can fix it yourself ... Electrolux Centralux Vacuum

My filter queen majestic quit working. I opened up the unit to see what was wrong and I did not immediately notice anything wrong. Upon furter examination I noticed one of the traces on the printed circuit card was burnt. I used a soldering iron to "bridge the trace and it appeared to fix the problem for a while. Now it has stopped working again, and when I jumper the trace to run the motor it seems to work. Should I just replace the card? Or is there a more serious problem with too much current

I recommend replacing the card. Soldering involves the risk of further damaging the card, so it would be useless anyway. Why waste valuable time?\015\012There is a possibility of the motor overheating, generally due to a blockage in the airfl ... Filter Queen Majestic Canister Vacuum

I have an Electrolux LITE upright carpet cleaner - about 15 years old. Suddenly last night when using it, from the normal motor (whooshing) sound, the motor suddenly went very slow and with a slight grinding sound. The brushes are now just turning round very slowly and areobviously not picking up anything. Has the motor gone or is this repairable, or should I just get a new cleaner? My vacuum just stopped working, so I don't know what the problem is. I used it in the kitchen to vacuum the hard wood floor. I turned it off, and a few minutes later, turned it back on to finish vaccuuming the kitchen floor. It just would not turn on. I had not unplugged it or did anything to it. I then tried to see if it would work in another plug, and no luck. I'm trying to figure out if it can be fixed or if I need to look for a new vacuum.

When I get most Vacuums that have dies on people most of them the wire has been worn and cut one or more wires on the plug cord. Sometimes the cut can be over looked. Vaccuum issue I just bought a Eureka upright model 5892 BVZ, my concern is, I bought it on sale (floor model) and it didn't have a manual with it. I took it home and tried it, and although it appears to be working very well there is not dirt in the catch bin on the front of the unit. I tried the hose w/attachment and again it worked very well in picking up the cat hair, but where does the hair and the dirt go, I am afraid it is spitting it back out somewhere since I can not see anything in the c

The motor in my Powermate (Kenmore Canister 116.27614700) is whining, high pitched, but still works. A local shop told me the motor is dying (the one in the Powermate that drives the beater bar) and would cost $150 for them to repair. The machine is only 1.5 years old and I paid $300...yikes. I think I can fix it but don't understand why the foam gasket that apparently wraps around the motor costs as much as the motor. This is assuming that part 32 (ks747156) is the foam I see glued to my cur

Our kenmore progressive model #11634922 was working fine today. And then - it's not. Plugged in - nothing is working on it. We let it cool down (though it didn't seem hot). Still nothing - no light, no motor. Tried it in some other plugs that we know are functioning well - and still nothing. Any idea what might be wrong with it? It's six years old but doesn't get heavy use. Thanks so much ~ Susan Golden

My upright kenmore progressive vacuum will not suction up when using the sweeper. It will suction things when I use one of the tools. I have put in a new bag and have tried to see if anything is blocking the bottom. It sometimes makes a very loud noise when I try to vacuum. If I press the intell clean on and off yellow button the noise may go away but it still does not work.

Loose wire ive got a loose wire inside my vax cyclonic 1700w and ive stripped it down but cant see anything and its still not working but it was working when i moved the wire from side to side. Please help

My electrolux ambassador power wand quit working. I replaced the switch that shuts it off when the roller stops, but it wasn't the problem. The on/off switch is fine, the motor is fine.
