Answers :

Check the rotating blades. If they are bent or out of synch, then you have to replace the blades, even the motor.
One of the reasons it might not be picking up is because you have a worn belt. The other reason could be that the suction channel is clogged. Did you remove the hair tie you ****up? If you need a replacement belt you can get it here:\015\012\015\012Bissell Lift-Off Pet Replacement Belt

I have the Dyson animal upright vacuum. It's 2 years old and now it just isn't working as well as it once did. Suction seems to be lacking - it's not picking up pet hair or much else from the carpet. I have to go over the spot for a few minutes and still, the hair isn't picked up.

Vorwerk ET 340 - been great but now noticing strong burning smell after vacuuming some hair from the bathroom. Bag is nearly empty. Gave it a rest then unscrewed the cover housing the motor and all looks clean (dust is sucked up the pipe and doesn't appear to get near the motor). When I restarted it, burning smell still there. Are there any filters that might need changing? What could be causing the smell? Could the hair have gotten caught somewhere? Thanks.

I have a Royal 7910 extractor and even though I vacuum before cleaning the carpet, by black cocker spaniel's hair gets pulled into the plastic pick-up attachment and I cannot find an easy way to clean it out. I have tried taking the screws out to separate the halves, but it seems as though they might be glues together. I have run water from a sink sprayer though the openings with some degree of success, but it still is pretty cruddy. I have tried snaking pipe smokers pipe cleaners up the pick

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner--trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting --is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor,  not contacting the carpeting??  I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting.  Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up --unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum... Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums

Brush Roll belt stops turning durring vacuuming on WindTunnel self-propelled, v belt is a little loose with handle down. Tensioning roll is engaged OK, but fully at the end of its travel. Replaced belts flat and v, but still stops turning even on high carpet setting when vacuuming. Carpet setting and height adjustment appears to be working OK, roll is clean and turns easily when out. Also turns easily until it engages the carpet. Self propel function works just fine.

We have a Bissell Proheat Cleanshot 2X Model 9500 Steam carpet cleaner. The first time we used it things were great. The second time we used it it left tracks in the carpet. We have no idea what caused this. We tried using the machine on an entirely different carpet and it did the same thing. After vacuuming the carpet about 10 or 12 times, the tracks are still embedded in the carpet - HELP!!!! We're read and reread the manual and contacted customer service and received no help.

Folks, My wife and I own a three-year-old Hoover U6434-900 self-propelled "Wind Tunnel" upright vacuum cleaner. The problem is that, even on the highest setting (front-end as high as possible), it gets bogged-down in even shallow pile carpet to the point that the brush stops. I've cleaned the machine thoroughly, pulling hair, thread, dental floss and such from the brush (and everywhere else), including unscrewing the brush end caps and pulling out the cat hair mats which formed in there.

** suction The best way to describe it is that when I was vacuuming I could see dust clouds at the front of the vacuum where the light is swirling around in the air. So I cleaned it out and tried it again and it still was not picking up properly. I had my husband take all the tubing apart to check for other clogging and there was none. When I
