Having problems with your Bissell 7901-1 ProHeat Scotchgard Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum ?

Bissell I inherited the Bissell Model 790 Steam Vac. No solution will come out. Apparently it's clogged somewhere as the previous owner appeared to have used it to vacumn up a powdered carpet cleaner. How do I resolve this problem as the machine is barely used and I would like to salvage it. Thank you

Answers :

Check the belts first, if ok, does water squirt out of the hose nozzzle, if it does then the heate in the handle asm. is clogged where the tubes hook up to it. If no water squirts out, the the pump isn't working. Pull the top cover off, check all tubes to make sure there is no clog. Make sure the tubes are routed right so as not pinch one, also make sure the piston is mounted on the smart mix knob. and the knob is in the water setting before putting the cover back on. The cap for the flow indictor is leaking are or screwed on too tight. The seal at the bottom of the tank is not on the tank and is missing or sitting in the hole where the water goes.

I own a Bissell Proheat Pet Model 8910. After just a few uses and changing both the brush and pump belts (trying to resolve problem) carpet doesn't get wet any longer. Carpet solution comes out normally but the water barly leaves the section of the tank I fill water into, resulting in carpet recieving to much solution and not enough water. Any advice?

I just bought a Hoover Platinum Collection MaxExtract Carpet Cleaner (Model No. F8100900). This is the first time I've used it and got half way through one room and the unit cut off and has no power at all. No lights anywhere. On/Off button is inoperable. I checked the outlet and it's still operating so it's not a circuit breaker issue. The problem appears to be with the machine. Has anyone heard of this happening this quickly? Is there a reset button on the machine>

I've had my Dyson DC14 vacuum cleaner now for approximately 9 months and been very happy with my purchase. However, It is used sparingly maybe twice a week at the very most. The problem is when I try to use the item on my carpet, you have to push really hard to get it to move. It's as though the suction power is far to strong. It certainly doesn't glide as I think it should. It still picks up as usual but I cannot imagine that having to 'force' the machine to move is the normal operating procedu

Bissell 7901-1 The soap doesn't mix with the water when I pull the trigger, I can see the soap isn't being used when I do the carpets. What can I do, have no problem taking this machine apart.

If the mix valve knob is turning smoothly, then most likely the cap and valve for the sop bottle is bad. Also make sure that the seal is on the cap at the bottom of the bottle and not sitting in the hole. ... Bissell 7901-1 ProHeat Scotchgard Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum

Water leak I just bought this steamer a few days ago, and already I am having problems, when I fill the water tank that your suppost to fill the water runs out before I even turn the machine on. I have tried using plugs to keep it from doing this just so I can shampoo my carpet, this seems to work to a point, considering the fact that there are two holes underneath close to the brushes and one just a little ways back from that location. Do you know if this is something that should have plugs or

I have the same problem with intermitant power, however, it does not make sense that the problem is in the upper powerhead (which is what a repair guy told me) because-- when I use the other attachements it is fine. The problem only occurs when I use the carpet (big)attachment so that the roller will not turn. Couldn't it just be in the area where the bottom of the handle attaches into the carpet attachment?

You can test the auxiliary plug to the roller/beater attachment with a volt meter if you know how and take precautions. Check for 115-120 volts at the beater/roller attachment plug. If voltage is there and the beater/roller doesn't run, the proble ... Kenmore 23612 Progressive PowerMate Bagged Canister Vacuum

I have a Hoover Wind Tunnel that has been used twice both times at Christmas to pick up pine needles. It really has never been used because my cleaning ladies come every week and use their own machine. The problem I have is that the machine just doesn't pick up anything. Can you help. It's not overuse that is the problem!

We have a Bissell Proheat Cleanshot 2X Model 9500 Steam carpet cleaner. The first time we used it things were great. The second time we used it it left tracks in the carpet. We have no idea what caused this. We tried using the machine on an entirely different carpet and it did the same thing. After vacuuming the carpet about 10 or 12 times, the tracks are still embedded in the carpet - HELP!!!! We're read and reread the manual and contacted customer service and received no help.

First things first. It's only the second time you have used the machine, so it must be fairly new. If you have a receipt and the unit is less than a year old you should take it to an authorized Bissell repair center and have the machine inspected und ... Vacuums

I have a dyson dc07 with a malfuncitoning clutch diagnosed here on fixya. I've replaced the clutch and the grinding noise when the clutch is engaged for carpet and non rotating brush problem presists. This is after replacement of the clutch with a new part. Install of the new part went well and there are no otehr apparent problems with the unit. Ideas? The unit is only a couple years old and not used that much on carpet. For an expensive vacuum I'm not that impressed with it at this point.

Greetings from GoVacuum,\015\012\015\012If you have replaced the clutch already, then this can really only be one other problem, and that is the roller brush. If the roller brush's bearing have locked up, and the brush is no longer spinn ... Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I have a Bissell ProHeat 2x, and I did something dum. I had some powdered cleaner that said it works with carpet cleaners-well I mixed it in-and the next time I tried to use it, nothing came out.
