Having problems with your Bissell 7901-1 ProHeat Scotchgard Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum ?

My Bissell doesn't seem to be vaccumming as well as it was before. Not sure what the issue is. Could the belts be loose? They are on there, but not extremely tight. Should they be tight? The brush on the bottom seems to have a lot of play/bounce to it as well. Thanks for the help.

Hoover Wind Tunnel 7500 Brush not Turning. I have replaced the Brush and the belt. The problem does not seem to be either to me. I believe might be a missing part. The place were the belt hooks on is a metal pole which never seems to grip the belt well. In fact it seems loose most of the time and slips on the brush, causing the belt to eventually burn up. Could there be a missing plastic or rubber piece meant to hold the belt taught  on the metal pole?

I cleaned out my brush in the bottom front, cleaned out the small tubing going into the canister, and the canister itself. I also changed the filter.I snapped everything back into place, but Since then, it doesn't seem to have any suction and there seems to be a space between the canister and the bottom of the vacumm where the canister sits. At that area, you can feel air coming out when trying to vacumm and it just doesn't pick up, it seems to be just blowing stuff around.

The gear that turns the dual brushes on my Bissell Spot Lifter 1716 seems to be stripped. The belt looks loose as well, but when I take the belt cover and the brush assembly out, the gear that turns the brushes is loose and appears to be stripped on the cogs. Dirt devil vacuum cleaner--trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting --is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor,  not contacting the carpeting??  I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting.  Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up --unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum... Last night as I was vacuuming, I noticed that the belt stop indicator light was on. I pulled out the hair that had gotten tangled around the brush in hopes of solving the problem. It didn't change things. I then unscrewed the entire bottom piece to take out the brush roller. I removed hair from the end piece of the brush roller and reattached the belt; however, I cannot figure out where the microchip is supposed to go so that I can reassemble the base piece by screwing it back together. It seems
