Shampoo-er This seems to be a common problem, the shampooer is putting out alot of water and hardly any suds. I read through the posts about the little filter that sometimes gets out of place and I think I found it in the box - is it about 1" diameter hard plastic ring around very fine mesh? If so where exactly does it go? Some posts say in the hose, and others say in the opening of the tank. Or does it go in the place where the hose attaches to the tray? I also found a round sponge in the box o

It goes on the small hole on the tank where the hose attaches to it. The sponge goes in the hole directly under the on/off valve. Here is a link to my online shampooer instructions.\015\012 \015\012 ... Kirby Ultimate G Bagged Upright Vacuum

We have inherited a Filter Queen Majestic Triple Crown Model 99C vaccum and have no owners manual stating the year it was purchased and parts available. Our power hose electic wire connection (about 6 inches long) which plugs into the main unit is split in the hose attachment end. The motor sound went instantly quieter and I wondered if this was why when I found this frayed electical wire. It has not been used since this problem was found. My Bissell ProHeat 2x is pouring water out of the bottom anytime it's turned on. I had it in the shop for no water, took it back again for the same problem, took it back again because it had no suction, finally took it apart and found the problem with the suction and fixed it myself. Worked fine for a day and now it is constantly leaking water, if it's turned on, and is useless for anything except for making a mess.

Took the unit apart and discovered my heater had small pinholes in the metal and they had put in silicone, instead of a gasket, which didn't seal. So much for the place I took it to "saving" my heater for me. I repaired it myself by getting a few o ... Bissell 9500 ProHeat 2X CleanShot Upright Deep Cleaner, Red Berends Vacuum

Hi, My problem is like n8Mitchell's (11 Feb) but on examining the electrical contacts I found that they need to be replaced. Can you tell me the name of the part so that I can order? Thanks, Richard AA

Yes. It's part number 5176 and it's called "male contact holder". Don't be worried by the word "holder", the part includes the pins, connecting wires and everything you need to do the job. If you also want the female half of the connector, I'm not so ... Sebo Automatic X1 Bagged Upright Vacuum

My G6 kirby stopped working. i have checked the wire for fraying and continuity and found no problems. I have noticed that the foot pedal that turns the machine on doesn't seem to click when pushed on or off either. i have the motor exposed now to check if it is bad, but i am not sure how to pursue doing just that.

My Hoover upright vacuum has gotten very loud. I have checked the roller, belts and hoses but I haven't found anything. What could the problem be? thanks

Most Hoover uprights are a "fan first" design, meaning that all dirt enters the motor , hits an impeller fan and is blown from there into the bag. You will need to open the vac, remove the belt and two C shaped clamps holding the motor in place and ... Vacuums

I have a Hoover, Steam spin scrub, Model F5897-900. Only used it a couple times and the motor gave out. First started being noisy then a bad smell. It did seem noisier that what I would expect from the start but I didn't realize it was a problem with the shaft of the motor. I took it apart and found the motor shaft wasn't true and causing sparks. The motor looks like it can not be taken apart and repaired. I then decided to check online to see if this was a usual problem, it seems that it is. I guess a call to nu-tone is warranted. i wonder if they will ship a new unit to western Canada.

Hi I’ve got a Panasonic vacuum cleaner MC E468 1600W a few years old now but works well up to recent problem. Not picking up I checked the obvious things and found excessive air being sucked in around the hose housing at the back of the vacuum (as it enters the waste bag) On inspection it appears to me as if there should be some sort of gasket that may have perished and been sucked in, however I can’t identify any such part. Any thoughts on what the problem/solution may be will be appreciate

The hose on the back might be loose - check to see that the hose is not obstructing anything where it screws in at the back - or indeed the screws may be loose themselves; some of the MCE 468 models had an additional ring washer that sits between the ... Panasonic Vacuums

VACUUM REPAIR I have a Hoover Savvy upright, windtunnel, bag/bagless vacuum (model U8150-900).
