The water will not spray out. we've check all the troubleshooting suggestions , still won't spray

Answers :

This seams to be a common issue with Bissell cleaners. Personally I think it's great but I love taking things apart. So I'll be more then happy to explain how to completely dismantle your cleaner......or I can just tell you where to look for the problem with the sprayer.......

From your frown I take it you don't have the "I don't care if it's not broke I want to take it apart anyway gene".

Ok the sprayer repair it is...
The two most common causes of the lack of spray are a worn, stretched or broken belt or a clogged heater unit. Along with those there are a couple miscellaneous items you can check also.

Since the belt is easier start there. Remember that most Pro Heats have two belt. A cogged belt which turns the brushes and a flat belt for the pump. Since I'm not sure exactly which model you have this description may not be a perfect match. The belts are located on the operators left. Turn the machine over and you’ll see a red retainer with 2 screws.\015\012Remove the retainer to gain access to the pump and belts. While you’re\015\012there check the red pump pulley, it’s where the two belts are. If that\015\012pulley is broken or loose you’ll have to replace the whole pump, the\015\012pulley is not available separate.

Before you check the heater be sure to check the spray nozzles at the front most Pro Heats have one on each side and they are attached with small hose clips. Just pop them off and make sure they are clear of any clogs.

After the nozzles and again this will depend on your Pro Heat model. Make sure that the nozzle on the bottom of the reservoir is working properly. Just pushing it open from the underside will verify it's not plugged.
If the belt, pulley and nozzles are all ok then......are you sure you don't want to tear it apart?......A relaxing weekend at home with carpet shampooer parts strewn everywhere? fine but don't say I didn't offer.

At the very least you will need to remove the screws from the back of the handle to gain access to the heater core. Please be careful as they can retain heat a long time. Remove the tubing from the heater and also the heater cover. You’ll\015\012probably see sediment inside. Clean out any sediment you see and use a\015\012paper clip on the nipple connectors where the clear plastic tubing was\015\012attached to ensure they are not clogged. After reassembly, running some\015\012white vinegar through your machine may help to clean out any\015\012sediment left behind.

If you have reached this point you could have a bad pump. In which case you can buy a replacement pump for around $20,00.

If this is the case please respond back to me with your exact model # and I can get you to a web site for a replacement and possibly even diagrams.

I hope something here helps.

I posted my problem earlier today that I was having with my Bissell Little Green Machine not dispensing solution, but sucked up no problem. Someone said that the most common problem was a blockage. We put hot water in the reservoir for 15 minutes as advised and it still will not dispense. The fluid is now ''dribbling''so it is better. It is just not spraying. We are able to blow from the end and make bubbles in the reservoir which shows us it is not blocked. Any other suggestions?

Low suction I have a Hoover central vacuum system. I've reset the fuse box, checked the fuses, all of the lines are clear and there are no holes for escaped air to travel out. The filter has been cleaned as well. The vac works well with high suction when hooked directly to the unit, however when using any of the indoor connections there is extremely low suction.
