High pitched screeching/broken handle release

\015 My Cleanview Revolution Deluxe (3596) makes a high pitched screeching sound while vacuuming; however, the suction is still great on this machine. Also, the handle doesn't stay up (whatever needs to be released to unlock the handle). I know I should probably just replace it but even with the noise and handle problem, it still works fantastic. Is there anything I can do to fix it; and where can I get the parts? Thanks much.\015

For the handle problem, detent lever part #2030052 and costs $4 to $5. A bearing in the motor is what is making it sound bad, part #2032211 and will cost around $60. You could try bissell.com or call them. They can at least let you know who has Bissell parts near you.

I just bought a Hoover Power Drive Concept Two Electronic vacuum from the thrift shop. It only needed two belts and seems powerful. But i don't understand what the small red button on the handle marked "Release Drive" means. Thanks for any insight! Anything else i need to know about this machine? Is it a good one? Are there high-performance bags available for it?

I have a Kenmore vacuum cleaner model #116.34720. The problem I am having is that if you are rolling the vacuum around, the base will drop without pressing on the handle release pedal. This often results in a bunch of dirt being dumped back out. The manual doesn't show anything about adjusting the handle release pedal so it holds the handle and base in an upright position better. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

High pitch My Hoover fusion vacuum cleaner began making a high pitch sound that makes it very annoying to vacuum. I cleaned all the things I could clean. I even cut out all the hair that was entangled in the brushes. Any idea what is causing the sound. It sounds like an siren is going off.
