Having problems with your Bissell Lift-Off(R) Revolution(R) Turbo Upright Vacuum ?

Handle release catch out of place.

\015 I assume the piece in my vacuum cleaner is the catch for the handle release because my vacuum will not stay upright. Does anyone know where it is goes? Or is there a internal diagram to be found?\015

Answers :

I just took mine apart, and there is rounded grooves on both sides of the base for the upright section to rest in. When I put it back together, it naturally pulled out of those grooves and laid back flat. I had to hold it in the grooves while reattaching the screws. The piece that comes off and allows the upright enough movement to come out of the grooves is on the top of the base in the back middle. There is one screw on the front of it, and then 4 screws in the back of it. If your upright section appears to be not in the grooves, remove those five screws, place it in the grooves (it'll have to be slightly elevated---can't lay it all the way flat or it'll come out) and reattach the screws.

On the DC07, the entire cyclone assembly must be removed to empty the dust, debris, etc. collected when vacuuming. On the top of the cyclone is a "trigger" that you lift with your finger to release the bottom catch, which allows a clear flap to open on the "clear bin," thus letting all the debris fall out. My problem is when you lift the finger trigger, it does not release the catch on the bottom. Since the catch won't release, I cannot remove the entire clear bin either from the cyclone.Any sug

I have a Kenmore vacuum cleaner model #116.34720. The problem I am having is that if you are rolling the vacuum around, the base will drop without pressing on the handle release pedal. This often results in a bunch of dirt being dumped back out. The manual doesn't show anything about adjusting the handle release pedal so it holds the handle and base in an upright position better. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
