I bought it Jan. 2006, and have only used it 8-10 times, I live in a very hard water area, so I though if I put some vinegar in with the cleaning solution it would get rid of any hard water deposits, unfortunatly the solution went lumpy in the tank and stoped spraying out water, I have opened it, hose clean, sprayer not blocked, x at bottom of water container when depresed water trickles out, component that opens the x when water container placed, also ran wate

The Lower body of the Bissell QuickSteamer, water pours out from the body. Solution: I took apart the machine and there is a spring loaded valve with a rubber washer at the bottom. Think of the letter T upside down with the rubber washer on it. The washer stretches over the bottom and the spring creates a leakproof plug and won't allow water to pass till the button on the handle is pressed. This old washer came partially off and allowed water to leak. I purchased from the plumbing dept. a mi

My Bissell ProHeat 2x is pouring water out of the bottom anytime it's turned on. I had it in the shop for no water, took it back again for the same problem, took it back again because it had no suction, finally took it apart and found the problem with the suction and fixed it myself. Worked fine for a day and now it is constantly leaking water, if it's turned on, and is useless for anything except for making a mess.

Took the unit apart and discovered my heater had small pinholes in the metal and they had put in silicone, instead of a gasket, which didn't seal. Brushes won't turn on the bissell proheat 2X steam cleaner-I don't have the manual to see if there is a button I am not pushing to turn on the brushes.
