I have a Kenmore vacuum cleaner model #116.34720. The problem I am having is that if you are rolling the vacuum around, the base will drop without pressing on the handle release pedal. This often results in a bunch of dirt being dumped back out. The manual doesn't show anything about adjusting the handle release pedal so it holds the handle and base in an upright position better. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I have a Series G Kirby Model G7D. The other day when I was vacuuming all of a sudden the TechDrive (Power Drive Assist N/D) pedal fell off. I see the hole that it goes into but when I put it in it's loose and falls out and doesn't control the power drive anymore. When I shook the vacuum I heard something rattling around inside the vacuum head. So I unscrewed the bottom and looked inside and found a small metal part labeled K3 on one side and T on the other side. It looks like it would fit

VACUUM REPAIR I have a Hoover Savvy upright, windtunnel, bag/bagless vacuum (model U8150-900). The Handle Release Foot Pedal - Part #38434026 broke soon after purchase but I finally found a source to replace this item. The problem is that now that I have the repair part I cannot figure out how to remove the old pedal and install the new one. The housing appears to be one piece of solid plastic. Any ideas, PLEASE! Peter

There are 2 tabs that stick out on the release, they fit in slots, so from the top look down and you can see them, using a flatblade screwdriver that will fit in there, push the side in to release it, which isn't easy, but it can be done. When you g ... Vacuums

We have a Bissell Power Clean vacuum, Model# 92L3P. A few days ago the vacuum started revving extremely high. We still have suction, but the RPMs sound like they're through the roof. At first the problem was sporadic, but now it's consistent every time the vacuum is turned on.

Again, I have a Bissel Model 3760-4. The same problem as everyone else. The beater bar will not turn. Took apart, nothing. Took to vacuum repair shop and they said it is not getting power to the motor to the beater bar. Seems like a fair number of folks are having this same issue. You would think Bissell would come up with a fix, if nothing else to save their reputation. Thanks Diane

We have a Bissell Proheat 2X (model 8920). The problem we are having is when water/soap is initially released (all settings) it continues to leak out the front water spray nozzles unit the water containers are empty. The vacuum works but can't keep up with the continuous water leaking out. Do you have any idea what is sticking open to allow the continued release of water when the machine is running? Thanks Rick

Return it. It is faulty and should not do that. Mine does not. Does require changing water about evrery 10 minutes but one can see the filth in the water. Also re-clean with plain water over areas that were cleaned to remove all cleaner. Old cleaner ... Bissell 8920 ProHeat 2XTM Upright Vacuum
