If you can take it apart and remove the hose then I would flush it with a hose with a nozzle. I would also spray the inside of the hose with an all purpose spray.

I have a Miele Vacuum cleaner MedicAir 5000 Plus. Recently the Dust Bag Indicator bar is full during normal cleaning and consequently the suction power is much less. I replaced the dust bag, engine pre-filter and Hepa filter but no change. When i remove the hose, the Indicator is normal, but when i attach the hose, wand, head, the indicator is full. I checked the hose, wand, head but can't see any blockage and when i blow with my mouth it seems fine. Can anybody help? thanks!

Recently purchase SC-N500 vacuum cleaner. Worked well only the first 2 times I used it to clean up plaster dust from floor after sanding. Since then it has not worked at all well wiht very poor suction. Fluff gets stuck in the hose and has to be manually removed. Suction power is very poor. Miele Cat & Dog vacuum gets VERY hot and is VERY loud. Hose has no restrictions and I have changed the dust compartment (motor) filter and the exhaust filter. The removable filter at the front is cleaned regularly, and is not clogged. However, the machine appears to be suffering from being clogged by dust, as it has started to make a high pitched noise, and I fear it may burn out. When I try to disconnect the hose in order to use the hand held hose with an attachment, the dust from the bottom flies into the air. How does this opening get blocked off to ensure the dust enters through the attachment and not the bottom?

I have a DC07 and the brush wasn't rotating and I had no suction at the brush but perfect suction through the hose. Can you remove the plastic hose that leads to the handle as mine has split. I thought i could remove it by pushing in the two black bits of plastic then shorten the hose. so far it wont budge. Is it meant to as Dyson sell the whole thing in one? cheers john

My electrolux oxygen canister cuts on and off. I have to open and close the vacuum, or take the base of the hose off and then re-insert. I have to do all these things before it will start up again. I sometimes shake the hose around, then it will come back on.
