Having problems with your Broan-NuTone CV350 Central Vacuum ?

No sucking power

\015 The unit will not pick op lint, the roller, belt and bag are all gd\015

Answers :

The belt may look fine but it is probably stretched. You can find any vacuum belt at www.vacbelts.com.
First off if you have a flat rubber belt that is over a year old its not good. Replace your belt then try the nozzle. If your still not getting much airflow from the tank then check your bags and filters. lastly if your hose is old and worn out its time to replace it.

I have a Harmony vacuum that's a couple years old. I recently sucked a fair amount of dog hair into it and was unaware something was amiss since the things so quiet. It just shut down and wouldn't come back on. 10 minutes or so later it came back on but now it's got no sucking power. I figure I torched the motor. Good guess? What are my options--I'm out in the middle of no where but can get it to a repair shop 250 miles away. Is it worth trying to salvage or am I going to pay as much to get it f

My Bissell 9200 is not sucking the water into the dirty water resevoir. 1. The gasket on the clear-view seems fine. 2. The suction power just doesn't seem powerful enough (feeling with my hand). 3. Unbeknownst to me, someone took the bag out of my Kenmore Progressive vacuum and failed to replace it. I have been vacuuming without a bag for months, and today the vacuum stopped sucking. When I opened up the front to replace the bag, tons of dirt and dust came pouring out. I thoroughly cleaned the vacuum, put in a new bag, but still no sucking power. Just dust coming from the rear vents where one of the filters is. Is the vacuum ruined, or is it a simple solution of buying a new filter?

Sounds like you need to buy a new motor. All that grit and dust will ruin a motor and I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.\015\012This is where a vacuum that won't run without a bag would have been nice. (Aerus for one) ... Kenmore 31913 Progressive Direct Drive Bagged Upright Vacuum

I sucked up a sock and there was a burning smell. I immediately turned off the power, the sock was wrapped around the roller, got it off and let the vacuum cool. Now it no longer powers on. Is it dead or fixable?? Ann Marie Smith

The smelling could be the belt. Unplug the unit and turn it over, see if you can see the belt. Turn the roller to see if there is any wear on the belt. If the belt looks good, that is not good. If it does not turn on, there is no fuse or breaker ... Euro-Pro NV31 Infinity Vacuum

No suction vacuum won't pick up -- I've checked the bag, hose...and it seems to have no sucking power. The internal hose may be jammed (I vacuumed up a lot of shredded paper), but nothing as far as I can stick in fingers in. I don't have a metal coat hanger to slip down, but I'm afraid that might tear the hose and then the darn thing won't work anyway. :o(
