I have a Nutone central vacuum model number CV450W that was working great until I recently removed the hose and it now runs continuously until I pull the plug....any suggestions please

Disconnect the thin low voltage wiring between the vac and the rest of the house. If the vac continues to run you have a defective relay in the vac motor housing. I have a central vacuum system. When I disconnect the hose from a wall outlet the central canister does not shut down dispite my turning off the vacuum at the handle of the hose. The only way I can get the system to shut down is to pull the plug at the canister. What gives? Rob

Central vacuum Hello, my central vacuum motor just clicks when you insert the hose into the receptacle. Is there anything I can do besides get a new motor or unit?

If the central vacuum is clicking that means that the circuit breaker is working and trying to get the motor to run but the motor is not functioning. This means it's time for either a new motor or a new unit. Unfortunately there's really no way aroun ... Electrolux Central Vacuum

My FIL purchased an Electrolux bagless canister vacuum model EL5 76501 last year. When I tried to use it today, the hose keeps pulling out of the power brush whenever I pull it towards me. it doesn't seem like anything has broken off. The only thing I noticed was that the rubber ring washer seems to be flattened. Could it be something that simple or do you think some part has fallen off and gone missing? Regards, Craig Somersett

When running the 2100 Electrolux vacuum, it is stopping and starting when pulling or pushing the floor attachment. Seems like the connection at the top of the handle is a little loose or the electric tabs are loose where the hose connects. Any ideas?

Could it be the receptacle is bad? My Kenmore Progressive won't turn on today either -but was fine last week. I cleaned the filters checked for blocked air, tried a different outlet and no luck. I'll check the pins on the connections and see if one of them is not matching up or appears worn.

I have an Easy-Flo central vac unit. The handle on the electric hose has a switch on the handle. With the switch on ''O'' in the center, it's off. On the left, is the ''I'' position. The vacuum runs but the power brush doesn't. On the right is the ''II'' position. The switch won't flip that way. It feels stuck. It feels as if there is something underneath of it that won't let it push that direction. I have the switch out of the handle, but I can't seem to get the actual black casing around the

That is a defect in the design of that style of vacuum. I went back to my old vac because I got so tired of having to unstop it. The sharp turns in the hose and the molded plastic causes it. Find one without the turns. ... Bissell 37604 Lift-Off Pet Bagless Upright / Canister Vacuum CleanerVacuum

My electrolux oxygen canister cuts on and off. I have to open and close the vacuum, or take the base of the hose off and then re-insert. I have to do all these things before it will start up again.
