Dyson DC 14 hose has no suction, with or without brush attachments. Hot air shoots out from the base of the canister when I try to use the hose. I cleaned the top filter, but can't figure out how to remove the hepa filter to clean it without destroying the case. It looks like it might take three hands to insert pennies and "flip" the case open as is suggested on a youtube video for a different model. Would this even help, assuming I could get the thing open?

I have an old Shop Vac model 3331.5. This is a 12 gallon 1.5 hight peak shop vac with a detachable blower. After many years I decided to use the blower feature, but have lost the lost the manual. Question; how do I attach the hoses to the blower? The motor has that cap on it the direct the flow of air in one direction and the wide hoses do not fit over it. I may be missing a part, but I would think the directional cap would have to come off anyway.

Remove the cap that directs the air and insert the hose in there. ... Vacuums

I have the yellow altima vac. for a while now I can not get the darn thing to pick up properly. Or should i say keep it up.. The vac does seem to be getting everything picked up but as soon as you turn it off, you have a mess under the vac.. I have checked for clogks and can't seem to find any.. I have removed the hose, Nothing there.. And yep have removed the yellow thing inside the trash cup.. Is there anything else you could suggest??

If it smells hot, then there's a strain on the motor no doubt about it. Check the suction channel behind the sole plate and remove all of the hoses to check for a clog. Hi, I have a Dirt Devil Model # M08100REDC. I desperately need to change the bag, but I don't see an obvious way to do it. I'm afraid to try pulling on the cloth tab thingy that's just below the handle, between the rubber ring that holds the bag on the vac, because it seems like stuff will fly everywhere from the force required to remove it, and I might not be able to get it back on there. Should I just pull on that cloth tab until the bag comes off? Thanks, Roberta

You can pull on the tab to remove the bag, but probably a better way is to gently pull on the rubber ring that attaches the bag to the back of the vacuum body. If you don't yank and ****, it should come off without spilling the dirt. There may also b ... Dirt Devil Classic M08100 Bagged Handheld Vacuum

We have a series 90S, 2.5 gallon Shop Vac. We used it for the first time to try and **** up water in the basement. Each time we turned it on, it would shut down after collecting less than 1" of water. We had to remove and squeeze out the foam sleeve each time, before it would work again (nowhere near 2.5 gallons!). Any ideas? Is the plastic sleeve that can move up and down inside, the float (poorest manual I've ever seen!)? Should there be a ball float that we're missing? Thanks for any s
