Having problems with your Dirt Devil KONE Hand Vacuum MO213BLU Vacuum ?

After removing the filter, I cannot get to battery on the Dirt Devil Kone M0213, there are two horizontal screws. Removing them does not help getting to the battery, no way to remove the insert where the battery is located. We have two of these, however they did not come with a manual for dis-assembly. Please help or proved a diagram on how to remove the battery. Many thanks, Wesley Lennon

Sheesh, did anyone actually read the person's question? It's about the battery, not the filter.
\015\012You have to get the outer cover off and it's not easy. There are four tabs which need to be released. I have to use a very sharp, heavy duty knife and jam something in at each tab. Eventually I was able to get the cover off.
\015\012The battery compartment appear to be 6 sub-C NiCd batteries. These are tack welded together in series. They aren't cheap unless ordering from China. Honestly, it's probably not worth the effort unless you are like me and want to fix stuff for satisfaction.
\015\012This answer may be too late for you, but may help someone else.
The 4 tabs are where they appear they might be; the 4 places you can get at around the rim of the cover, looking straight down on the two screws you can get at. The four grooves at the very edge of the cover and housing lip, are where they are at. I pried and worked those areas enough to flare out the rim of the cover, and eventually it popped loose; with some distortion to the cover. The tabs are not real deep setting, so I am thinking paperclips down each tab slot between the thin cover, and case of the housing. After you carefully pry the lip of the housing away with a thin screwdriver; you can work a clip in there on all the slots; then pry the cover off. Then you have the battery solution; have not checked those yet for availability. There is not much space with the slim design, so they formed the batteries into the area with little room to spare, or adapt anything. If batteries are less than 20 bucks, might be worth a replacement. Looks like two flat female disconnects for the battery cluster disconnect. I would not recommend a knife, and be careful with what you do use to pry between the outer sheath and the housing. The tabs are pretty standard; like something you might find holding a cheap radio housing together; but the rounded design makes them hard to release all at once, or even on one side. A little ledge formed on the inside of the housing, at the slots; pops up over a small lip on the inside housing. Then you have some deep set small screws to navigate, to separate the two sides of the housing. The tabs run the entire length of the slots, which also makes it harder to release, even though they are not deep set. A little work, you can get it though. The bigger and thicker paper clips, will make it easier I suppose. Your going to need all four paper clips inserted most likely before you have a shot at prying the thin outer sheath or cover off. You may still have to pry a little; any place you can get top to bottom leverage on the cone. Again, the tabs are between the outer sheathing and the main inner housing directly under the 4 slotted areas. You can't see them or activate them from the slot; you have to push something between the outer sheath, and the housing to get at them. Hope this helps, with this ******** design.

The removable filter at the front is cleaned regularly, and is not clogged. However, the machine appears to be suffering from being clogged by dust, as it has started to make a high pitched noise, and I fear it may burn out. I can see some dust inside the front panel but cannot see how to remove the front to clean it out. (NB. I have located two screws - one on either side - but cannot see how to proceed further.) Please help! Thank you.

I have the IROBOT discovery that just got a new battery. IT ran great! As the battery was dying, I put it into the home base. The "brick" is green, the home base has two green lights and the on/off pulsates red. It never charges though. Eventually the red light stops pulsating. Customer service said to reset it, clean the metal, and nothing works! They told me to just buy another one. The problem is that I know it was working! Help!

The best thing that you can do is take the charger into somewhere that can test it for the proper output voltage. It should be somewhere very close to 22 volts with no fluctuation. The charger is the easiest thing to test in this case. ... iRobot Roomba 4210 Bagless Robotic Vacuum
