Having problems with your Dirt Devil M086700 Vision Bagless Upright Vacuum ?

Hi I have a dirt devil vision. Hose works, but does not vacuuming the floor. Belts are not broken. Larger belt is moving, smaller belt that moves the brushes does not.

Answers :

Hi krueger, sorry for the problems but hers an idea how about turning on the vacuum and put your hand under the part where it sucks uo the dirt off the floor and i guessing you would have a little suction, since the brushes are not moving its going to not pick up as well as it should my guess is that the belts need to be replaced even if one is moving, i would change both belt to be sure and also are you smelling a burning smell if so then that would prove fact to needing new belts, hope this helps, Jamie

My Bissell Model 3760-4 is not working properly. The belt has been replaced (and checked 3 times), but the brush bar does not move when the brush motor button is on. I have a Eureka 4870GZ. It turns on, but the brush roller doesn't move. The belt looks fine. I do have an extra belt and would try replacing the old belt, but I can't get the old one off the motor shaft or the new one on. I called Eureka customer service. Its only when I use the vacuum with the brush rotating. It does not happen hen I shut the roller brush off. The belt is fine. Hoover WindTunnel S3765. The motor spins and the belt turns when I turn the brushes on, and the brushes will spin. The problem is that when I do this on carpet, the brushes stop spinning. I have two old identical 5842's that I use in the garage and around the house. The belt broke on one so I bought a bag of 2 genuine Eurika "U" belts, which is the correct belt for this vacuum.
