You have to remove the yellow switch but to do this there is a small hole at the side of the switch nearest to the machine you have to push something in this which will push the clip that is holding the switch if you can do this there is a screw behi ... Dyson DC04 i have a loose wire where the cable enters the cleaner how do i open the part where the on/off button is.

If it is at the on/off switch, you can carefully prise the yellow button out to reveal a torx headed screw. Remove the screw then the housing for the switch can be pulled out which should reveal your loose wire.\015\012\015\012Brian ... Dyson DCO7 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

NO POWER My Dyson DCO4 Absolute (purple&lime) won't' switch on. I've checked the plug fuse, wall socket and also filters and hoses on machine all seem fine so think the problem is with the on/off button (maybe loose wire or something) but how do i get to it, is there a special way to remove the green on/off button in order to check the connection? Thankyou in advance for the help i am sure you will be able to provide.

The problem is almost certainly a fatigue break in the flex. These usually happen where the flex enters the handle through the rubber sleeve near the on off switch. You will need to cut about four inches off the wire and reconnect it to the switch. ... Vacuums

Sounds to me like you have a open wire. There is a break in the wire inside to the insulation and as you move it, it gains and loses connection. Wiring diagram for Model #11635922500 - KENMORE Upright vac I took the cover off of the vacuum to repair the power cord and must have pulled a wire out of its wire nut by the sweeper bar. If I had a diagram it would be no problem to replace. The bad has four short gray wires coming out of it. It is one of the gray wires that has come loose.

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

My Dyson DC 24's beater bar switch didn't actuate and the beater bar didn't turn. When I brought it to a certified serviceman he told me that a wire interferred with the switch and all he had to do was move the wire out of the way of the switch. At the time the machine was under warrantee and it didn't cost me anything. Now however, the machine is out of warrantee and the problem has returned. Does anyone know how to access the switch and move the wire out of the way?

We have a dyson dc 07 animal the machine was working fine then switched off after returning to the machine minutes later it wouldnt switch on, i removed on off switch cover and used a short piece of wire across the brown wires flicked the wall switch and it worked, aha i thought faulty switch aquired a new one to no avail and now even the short piece of wire trick doesnt work, has the motor died do you think, it wasnt over heating or making strange noises prior to refusing to work

It could be the motor. I'm having to replace the brushes on my DC 05. It appears that you can only get brushes for the YDK motors in the DYSON, not the Panasonic motor. Which might be saying something about the YDK motors. What happens is that the ca ... Dyson DC05 Cylinder Bagless Canister Cyclonic Vacuum
