Having problems with your Dyson DC07 All Floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

Losing sucksion Clean filters, no clogs, but seems yo not have very good sucksion anymore, do they just wear out? It's about 6 years old

Answers :

If you look underneath your DC07 you will see a short length of clear plastic hose with spiral wire reinforcement. Quite often this hose splits (which lets in air and reduces suction at the brush head). Check this hose carefully, as a split is not always immediately obvious. If necessary, remove it by just pulling it away from the end nearest the motor and then unscrewing it from the brush end. A new hose costs very little so it's hardly worth trying to seal a split with tape.\015\012
\015\012If this is not the problem, post a reply and I'll try again. Good luck!

Hello, I have the same model. And though it is three years old, starting from the last month, it does not clean anything anymore. Cannot even pick up one single thing from the floor. Every dirt gets stuck in the hose. I cleaned the hose and cleaned the filters but it still does not pick anything up. Is three years its normal lifetime or do I have the change the filters, instead of cleaning them? Thanks.

I'm not really a technician, but I used to sell Filter Queens and was taught how to maintain them, and have tackled "fixing" some problems. I am a 71 year old great-grandmother of 8, but have good health and am very active. The Filter Queen I have is r, usedeally old, and I have kept it up. Just this week, however, I turned it on and it had a noise which sounds like something might be loose in the motor. I have always been very careful to have a clean hepa filter to protect the motor, so I know

Poor suction I have a hoover hush s5627 vacuum purchased about 4 years ago from Costco. It's suction power isn't so good anymore. I've checked all the lines & hoses and they're clear and I've changed the bag. I even disconnected the pipe from the vacuum unit and held my hand over the intake. While the machine roars like a jet engine the suction power just ain't like it used to be. What could possibly be the problem?

I have a Harmony vacuum that's a couple years old. I recently sucked a fair amount of dog hair into it and was unaware something was amiss since the things so quiet. It just shut down and wouldn't come back on. 10 minutes or so later it came back on but now it's got no sucking power. I figure I torched the motor. Good guess? The motor just went out on my 2 year old vacuum with light usage (hardwood floors in a very small house.) The Sears repairpeople are estimating ~ $130 to fix (this includes parts & labor). I'm wondering if it's worth investing $130 into something i've spent $350 on only 2 years ago. Shouldn't these machines last longer ? Is there something I could do to get them repair free as it seems the motor must have been faulty to only have lasted 2 years. Thoughts ?
