I can't figure out how to hook up hose attachment to dyson 07

Answers :

You have a reversible wand on the DC07. You have to separate the wand from the hose first, then turn it around and reconnect it. Once that is done you will be able to use the attachments on the end of the wand. You can also connect your attachments to the hose.
\015\012To separate the wand:
\015\0121) Take the wand off the back of the machine
\015\0122) Place one hand on the Handle and one hand on the gray flexible hose.
\015\0123) Push the flexible hose down. You will see a long metal rod appearing. Push until the hose clicks into place at the bottom of the metal rod.
\015\0124) You'll see a half-moon shape button with a picture of a lock on the solid gray plastic part at the top of the hose - push it, this will separate the wand from the hose.
\015\0125) Turn the wand around
\015\0126) Push the purple wand cap with the holes in it back, it exposes a short dark gray pipe, about an inch in length
\015\0127) Connect the hose to the short pipe
\015\0128) Attach your tools to the top of the metal rod and have fun

No suction Just received my refurb. dyson animal bagless. Finally figured out how to get it all together, turned it on and there is no suction coming up thru the beater bar. The hair is just collecting around the bar and not going up into the canister. It appears all the suction is going thru the open red end of the attachment hose, which has a vented cover piece. Am I missing a piece or is there a switch to turn of the attachment suction?

So the red hose isn't connected to a part on the vaccum so like it is connected to the connester but not to an opening just above the beater bar, this is the only idea i can supply you with. good luck, maybe i got lucky and helped you out. ... Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Dyson DC 14 hose has no suction, with or without brush attachments. Hot air shoots out from the base of the canister when I try to use the hose. I cleaned the top filter, but can't figure out how to remove the hepa filter to clean it without destroying the case. It looks like it might take three hands to insert pennies and "flip" the case open as is suggested on a youtube video for a different model. Would this even help, assuming I could get the thing open?
