Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

Not sucking like it used too. Took it apart, nothing is clogged.

Answers :

This is common thing with Dyson. Your motor could be clogged up, causing it to hinder your performance. Personally, I wouldn't buy into the hype of Dyson, because of all the problems that occur with the first year of its use, it turns out to be not worth the couple hundred dollars you'll be spending on repairing it.

I have an animal dyson. The front nose dives into the carpet when moving the dyson in the forward motion, fine when pulling back. A huge amount of effort is required to move it forward. Took it to a technician and he said he could find nothing wrong. He had only short nap carpet for test. Works fine on short nap, if the carpet nap has any lenght to it like shag, the dyson severly nose dives. It's like the nose is sucked into the carpet. I have a Bissell Steam Cleaner that is not sucking up the water when cleaning. I used a full container of water and when it was empty I emptied out the water, only to find very little dirty water in it. I noticed the window, as i used it, seemed like it wasnt sucking up the water. I took the plastic cover off to clean it (it didnt look very dirty in the first place), an i noticed that the grey plastic flap was on but not moving up or down. I thought there may be dirt in it that prevented it from

I have a new Hoover Dual V steam vac that I bought from a neighbor who only used it once. I have only used it once since then and it worked great. This time, because I am pregnant, I bought some non-toxic cleaner that was much thicker than the very watery Hoover soap. This vac has a wash option and a rinse option. The rinse option works (sprays and sucks properly), but the wash cycle doesn't at all-neither soap nor water comes out. Nothing comes out, but it still sucks. I took everything o

Again, I have a Bissel Model 3760-4. The same problem as everyone else. The beater bar will not turn. Took apart, nothing. Took to vacuum repair shop and they said it is not getting power to the motor to the beater bar. Seems like a fair number of folks are having this same issue. You would think Bissell would come up with a fix, if nothing else to save their reputation. Thanks Diane

I have a Hoover, Steam spin scrub, Model F5897-900. Only used it a couple times and the motor gave out. First started being noisy then a bad smell. It did seem noisier that what I would expect from the start but I didn't realize it was a problem with the shaft of the motor. I took it apart and found the motor shaft wasn't true and causing sparks. The motor looks like it can not be taken apart and repaired. The bottom bar that encases the brush is flush to the floor when using the vacuum. This causes the suction to "stick" the vacuum to the floor (lamenate) and also as there is no ground clearance debris is just pushed around. We have to nearly stand the thing upright to get the ground clearance to be enough for things to start being sucked up. I have taken apart, re-assembled etc and nothing is working.
