Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

Wand won't go into the flexible hose

\015 I've tried spraying silicon spray into the hose to lessen the friction, but it's futile. There are at least two problems here: The folds in the hose trap dust over time, and this buildup decreases the I.D. of the hose and increases the friction between the hose and wand; but, more importantly, the plastic in the hose fatigues and deforms over time. This causes it to develop small irregular corrugations between the coils of the hose that further narrow the opening. I'm going to try to clean the inside of the hose with a rag on the end of a stick, and then lubricate it again with some kind of inert wax or silicone. If that doesn't work, though, I fear the only fix is to buy a new hose. I consider this a design flaw.\015

Try some fine sandpaper or one could heat up
the wand or hose with a heatgun or torch
to flex it and then try plugging it in.

I'm using Miele Medivac vacuum and I just sucked in a small plastic eye drop container by accident(I sometimes take off the brush part to **** in 'small enough' articles). And it is jammed in the part where the plastic hose connector bends. I think I can take it out if I can just disconnect the long necked plastic hose connector that connects the metal wand part and the hose part. Is it designed to be disconnected or should I not even try it?

I have a Dyson 17, the Absolute Brand special for pet hair. I think I have a blockage in the hose. Symptoms are: spewing out fuzz balls and small particles. I have checked all the blockage sites recommended by Dyson and all are clear except a small flexible transparent hose, 6 or 7 inches long, curled up underneath the cleaner head/brush bar unit. Any ideas? I've tried to pull out the stuff stuck in there, but I'm afraid to perforate the hose and I don't know any way to disconnect it.

The hose does not stay connected to the wand although the collar appears to be locked in place for a while. Is there a replacement part for this? Also the holder where the wand goes in has split horizontally. This appears to be one piece with the body of the unit. Is it repairable? It still holds the wand but continues to get worse.
