Dyson DC07 bagless - upright mode v poor suction, wand mode ok

\015 Dyson DC07 bagless upright - 10 secs of good suction then popping noise like a valve going and no suction when upright, wand mode works fine, had a look can't find obvious blockage!\015

Answers :

I suffered with a serviced but not sucking DC07, its fixed now. How? By replacing the cyclone unit via anotherbay, it was an accumulation of dust and debris in the section that is not accessible. Borrow a working cyclone if you can and check the difference. Mine would struggle to pick up and now it picks up the carpet :-)
Hi its Darran at Dyson.

From your description of the problem, it sounds as though the bleed valve is activating which only happens when there is a blockage.

We would recommend following the full blockage through as outlined in your user guide or in the Support section on our website at www.dyson.com.

Kind regards
Darran
