Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

I'm not sure if it's suction or not, but it doesn't really pick up anything anymore.

Check the following areas for clogs:
\015\0121. Hose. Detach hose at both ends and try to roll a marble through it. If clogged, you can try reversing the hose to **** from the "wrong" way. This may be enough to clear it. If not, you may need to take it to a dealer for clearing.
\015\0122. In port where hose attaches to tank. This is easy to clean, just pull out plug or remove dust holder and remove clog that way.
\015\0123. Short hose in power head. This may take a little time, but you should be able to clear it.
\015\012For 1 and 2, do not use sharp or pointy objects to try to clear.
\015\012This may result in tears and holes in the hose, resulting in a
\015\012need to replace it.
\015\012The hose may also have leaks in it, which means replacing it.

I have a dyson dc21. All the sudden the hose is hardly suctioning up anything. If I take the canaster off, the top air hole suctions extrememly well, but when I place that canister back on, the suction is not going thru the hose and picking anything up. I have squeezed the hose, I feel no air leaking and do not feel any blockages...what could be wrong. It worked fine the other day and today, it won't pick up a piece of lint!

Poor Suction Heya! So I just picked up a used Dyson, but when I vacuum with it, the suction is pretty weak and it spits all kinds of stuff out the back and into my feet. When I pull the hose I have good suction, but in regular mode it hardly picks up anything. The brushes are spinning, and it eventually will clean an area if I go over it again and again. Maybe a clog somewhere? Please tell me that Dysons have better suction than my $50 Dirt Devil! Thanks!

My filter queen just had the motor rebuilt last year and was basically a brand new unit when I got it back. It is not picking anything up now when I vacuum. The beater bar on the carpet attachment is turning fine and when I take all the attachments off the hose I can feel the suction being created like it should be picking up debris just fine. I have emptied the canister even when it did not have much in it; however, it still will not pick anything up off the carpet. It picks up debris tempo

No suction. I have followed the detachable parts no suction. I have followed the detachable parts and it seems to have suction through to the base but doesn't pick up anything significant. I have looked through the hose connecting the base but I can not see anything obstructing it.

Poor suction can be caused by obstructions, poor air flow or a compomise in the air flow (hole in the hose). Since you have started with that I would next look at all filters and clean them. First check for suction at the motor, then at accessory hos ... Vacuums

My dyson seems to have lost its suction therefore is not picking up anything yet i have found that when my dyson is standing upright it has a little more suction but nothing like how it use to work. This has only happend in the last 2 weeks. I sanded a floor & though the sander picked up majority of the dust i did use the dyson to pick up the excess and it is since then that my dyson has not been working to its full potential.

In my experience, you have a clog somewhere between the floor and the bag or what ever catches the dirt. Push something through all hoses. Look at all filters. Try running the machine (outside) while it is open to check the vaccum power. ... Panasonic MC-V7398 Upright Vacuum

The suction is good, but it can't pick up most of the stuff on the floor. The hand held hose works very well, but it doesn't even pick up little fuzzies reliably when I push it along. And, the suction is too hard I think because it used to push easily and now I have to push really hard, even on flat carpet.

Check entire length of hose, including the piece in the power head, for clogs. Simply drop a marble in one end and allow it to roll out the other. If it doesn't, then the hose is clogged somewhere. ... Dyson DCO7 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Hello, I have the same model. And though it is three years old, starting from the last month, it does not clean anything anymore. Cannot even pick up one single thing from the floor. Every dirt gets stuck in the hose. I cleaned the hose and cleaned the filters but it still does not pick anything up. Is three years its normal lifetime or do I have the change the filters, instead of cleaning them? Thanks.

My Oreck UP350 has no suction -- I've made sure everything is cleaned out (filters, etc) that I can readily see that has to do with the suctioning process, but now instead of picking up the dirt it keeps dumping the dirt and trash on the carpet. I am at my wit's end!

Have a Centralux Aerus about 5 years old. Don't see a model number. There is suction but beater brush quit working. Poor suction The actual sweeper seems to work ok, but the hose attachment has some suction but not enough to pick up things I think it should and not enough to make the power brush spin. I've checked everywhere I can for clogs, but I can't see anything. And there doesn't seem to be any way to check to hose itself for clogs. I've cleaned out the container and the filters, but there's still a problem.

Check the inlet down by the brush roll, make sure it is open, if it is then the hose itself must have a clog. If the hose comes off, drop something like a marble in one end and see it it comes out the other end, if it doesn't then you have a clog. ... Hover Elite Rewind I've only had this vacuum a few months and I really liked it until now. There is almost no suction from anywhere in the vacuum, and I've cleaned all the filters and rollers with my shop vac and made sure that everything was assembled correctly. It used to be really quiet now it is quite loud and it keeps over heating, and shutting off. At this point I have no idea what could cause this problem, the machine is nearly brand new and I can't afford a new one at this point.
