Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

I have an animal dyson. The front nose dives into the carpet when moving the dyson in the forward motion, fine when pulling back. A huge amount of effort is required to move it forward. Took it to a technician and he said he could find nothing wrong. He had only short nap carpet for test. Works fine on short nap, if the carpet nap has any lenght to it like shag, the dyson severly nose dives. It's like the nose is sucked into the carpet. This problem just occured after the wife used the ho

I took the hose off to wash it then after letting it dry overnight I put it back on but Im guessing it there was still a little bit of water in between the grooves which ran to bottom of vacuum and now my dyson gets stuck, sort of like a tight hinge. I have a Dyson all-floor model (not the ball). I recently replaced my carpet to a Frieze. Since replacing the carpet, the Dyson is extremely hard to push. It almost forms a "seal" with the carpet. Seems to work fine on Berber carpet and laminate floor. My husband has checked to make sure the brushes are working, hoses are not clogged and belts are OK. I've had it for about a year. It is virutally impossible to push on the new carpet. Any ideas?

My filter queen just had the motor rebuilt last year and was basically a brand new unit when I got it back. It is not picking anything up now when I vacuum. The beater bar on the carpet attachment is turning fine and when I take all the attachments off the hose I can feel the suction being created like it should be picking up debris just fine. I have emptied the canister even when it did not have much in it; however, it still will not pick anything up off the carpet. It picks up debris tempo

Consider disassembling and cleaning your unit. Sometimes dirt and grit will build up, and when wiped away allow the moving parts to function better. My Kirby Heritage II vacuum is not picking up dirt up out of the carpet like usual, and I have to keep setting it lower to pick anything up. I finally get it to such a low setting that it starts sucking the carpet up and makes a whirring noise, and starts smelling. Every time this happens, we find the belt has been burned. I have a Filter Queen Majestic 360 and am having problems with the powerhead. There is a loud rattling noise in the powerhead, especially when I vacuum thicker carpet. I have replaced the motor, roller brush, and belt, but the rattling remains. It sounds like it is coming from the roller brush area, and when I turn the powerhead over, it rolls free and sounds fine. Any thoughts?

On the piece that covers the brushbar and motor (the clear plastic piece that has the dyson logo), it looks like a small plastic ridge that holds the cap for the brushbar snapped off. Would too much wobbling of the brushbar cause it to turn on and off? The switch seems fine.

In theory, yes. If the brushbar isn't held firmly, then the belt isn't running smoothly which puts more strain on the motor. This can cause the motor to get hot very quickly which will trip the thermal overload protection. \015\012\015\01 ... Dyson DC15 All Floors - The Ball Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
