Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

Dyson, pressure release valve keeps going off and staying open.

\015 I was cleaning with the Dyson a few days ago and it began to get louder as if pressure/vacuum was building too high. Then the pressure release valve opened, and now everytime I turn it on it takes a couple of seconds for the pressure/vacuum to build again and the release opens. I cleaned everything I can see to clean, and don't see any clogs! Please help.\015

There are a couple of things you can do, the blled valve (pressure valve) activates when there is a blockage in the machine. You just need to find the blockage:
\015\012
\015\0121) To check for blockages from the bottom of the machine. Remove the:
(i) U-Bend (stand behind the machine and look next to the right-hand-side wheel, it's attached with a rectangular clip next to the
\015\012long gray hose - push the clip and pull the U-Bend off, make sure its clear - if there's a blockage remove it and continue with the
\015\012blockage check to ensure that the entire machine is clear)
(ii) AI Valve (stand behind the machine and look above the right-hand side wheel, it's attached with two buttons on either side of the
\015\012AI Pipe/Valve - push the two buttons and pull the pipe up and off and make sure there is clear - if there's a blockage remove it and
\015\012continue with the blockage check to ensure that the entire machine is clear)
(iii) Refit the internal hose on the bottom of the machine between the wheels and make sure it isn't torn and has no holes in it and
\015\012that there is nothing clogged inside it - to refit the hose: Pull it off where it sits next to the wheel first - make sure that the
\015\012gray piece of rubber is still on the hose (if it isn't, pull the gray piece of rubber off the hole and reconnect it to the hose by
\015\012twisting it back on) - next, twist the hose off where it connects to the brushbar - inspect the hose and make sure you don't have any
\015\012holes in it - put it back on by twisting it onto the side of the brushbar first - then line the gray piece of plastic end up with the
\015\012hole next to the wheel and push and twist it back over the hole. Bring the machine back upright and test it
\015\012
\015\0122) To check for blockages in the wand.
(ii) Wand - take the wand off the back of the machine - put one hand on the wand handle and one hand on the gray hose - pull the
\015\012handle and push the gray hose down, you'll see a metal rod being exposed, push the hose until it clicks into place - press the
\015\012half-moon shape button with a picture of a lock on it (found on the solid gray plastic end of the flexible hose) and separate the wand
\015\012competely - point the wand into the air or at a source of light (please don't point it at the sun) and look through the metal rod part
\015\012- the handle is bent but you should still see some light coming through the other end - if you don't, there is a blockage in the wand
\015\012- use a long object like a stick or a metal hanger to remove the blockage
(iii) Hose - no need to remove it - just stretch it out and make sure that there are no dark spots in the hose (those would be
\015\012blockages) - you can also through the top of the hose - if you don't see the ground at the bottom there is a blockage in the hose
\015\012
\015\0123) If no blockages are found on the machine at all:
(i) wash the filter in cold water and leave it out to dry for at least 24 hours
(ii) blow out the cyclone from the bottom (open the door on the bin door - you can now look into the cyclone) - blow it out with an
\015\012air compressor or a leaf blower
(iii) Wipe all the small holes off on the cyclone with a dryer sheet
\015\012When the filter is dry, test the suction again. If there still is no suction on the machine, call the Dyson Helpline, they'll set you
\015\012up with a repair with the closest authorized dealer in your area.

I have a Dyson Animal DC 28. It vacuums fine on floor mode, but, when locked in the upright position it releases pressure though the little valve behind filter a. Unfortunately with any bagless vacuum the filters do need to be cleaned or replaced very frequently for the vacuum to perform. But the good news is it sounds like you have a clog in the hose. remove the attachment hose as you would be using it and un ... Vacuums

Dyson vacuum I have a DC07 vaccuum. The problem I am having is that the front does not want to stay down as I vaccuum and I continuously have to keep stepping on the front to make it go back down to the floor. It seems as though there is either not enough weight in the front or possibly the unit just has to be broken in so that there is not so much resistance between the handle and the front of the vaccuum. Could there be something I did not remove or is this typical on these vaccuums?

My Dyson DC14 Animal doesn't have the suction it used to. The piece in the back on the bottom - a flap it appears - stays open now, causing the machine to make a louder noise than usual. At first, if I put my hand on the flap opening it would close, allowing for normal suction. Now, it stays "open" permanently", causing the loss of suction.

My Dyson just stopped sucking up dirt. I have checked all the obvious things like clogs and filters. I noticed when I turn it on, there is a valve on the top of the cannister that opens and you can feel suction from the vent hole. Is this valve malfunctioning, or is it working correctly because something else is malfunctioning?

We have a Bissell Proheat 2X (model 8920). The problem we are having is when water/soap is initially released (all settings) it continues to leak out the front water spray nozzles unit the water containers are empty. The vacuum works but can't keep up with the continuous water leaking out. Do you have any idea what is sticking open to allow the continued release of water when the machine is running? Thanks Rick

No suction Just received my refurb. dyson animal bagless. Finally figured out how to get it all together, turned it on and there is no suction coming up thru the beater bar. The hair is just collecting around the bar and not going up into the canister. It appears all the suction is going thru the open red end of the attachment hose, which has a vented cover piece. Am I missing a piece or is there a switch to turn of the attachment suction?

So the red hose isn't connected to a part on the vaccum so like it is connected to the connester but not to an opening just above the beater bar, this is the only idea i can supply you with. good luck, maybe i got lucky and helped you out. ... Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
