Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

Vacuum lock Vacuum will not go back into upright position. There is resistance as you raise the handle.

I just solved my own problem. I'm not much of a technical writer and I'm sure I don't know the proper terms but nonetheless...
\015\012...When standing behind the vacuum, as if using it, just above the right rear wheel is a detachable elbow for the air flow. The housing next to the wheel, wherein the elbow fits down into, is one segment of the problem the other segment, with which it may have come out of alignment, is the main front cover of the vacuum head. With the vacuum upside down in my lap I simply rolled the two components back into a position so that the front cover slides under the housing instead of bumping into it on top.
\015\012I hope this solves your problem too.
Thank you Systemagic. It took me a minute to figure out what you meant until that little elbow thingy came off in my hand, and then I just jiggled a couple of things around and presto...it worked. I never would have found that myself!

I have a Kenmore vacuum cleaner model #116.34720. The problem I am having is that if you are rolling the vacuum around, the base will drop without pressing on the handle release pedal. This often results in a bunch of dirt being dumped back out. The manual doesn't show anything about adjusting the handle release pedal so it holds the handle and base in an upright position better. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Placing the handle of my Dyson DC07 into its upright and locked position causes the beater bar to stop turning. It will not start turning until the handle is first lowered to the working position and the Carpet/Bare knob is moved to the Bare Floor position and then back to the Carpet position. Then the beater bar turns until the handle is placed into the upright position. What might be the problem?

Dyson vacuum I have a DC07 vaccuum. The problem I am having is that the front does not want to stay down as I vaccuum and I continuously have to keep stepping on the front to make it go back down to the floor. It seems as though there is either not enough weight in the front or possibly the unit just has to be broken in so that there is not so much resistance between the handle and the front of the vaccuum. Could there be something I did not remove or is this typical on these vaccuums?

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I purchased a Eureka C4910 last year and have a question that I am hoping you can answer. There are two motor actions with this vacuum, 1) the vacuum suction, and 2) the beater bar. The action of the beater bar is that motor is supposed to automatically shut off when the handle is in the complete vertical position assuming the vacuum is stationary, but then turn on when the handle is tilted toward the floor, assuming the vacuum is moving back and forth.
