Dyson dc07 suddenly lost all power. Bad power

\015 Dyson dc07 suddenly lost all power. Bad power switch? Have power at outlet.\015

Answers :

This could be the switch, but could also be the motor.
\015\012The motor has a built in over-current protection device which normally automatically resets itself, but if the motor has had it, it then just cuts out again as soon as you switch it on.
\015\012Both the switch and motor are available quite cheaply on eBay, but fitting new ones requires good DIY skills (especially the motor), and some unusual tools (Torx drivers).
\015\012Have a look at www.dysonmedic.com which has some great info on repairing your machine, but if you dont feel you can repair it yourself, time to call a vacuum repairer or the Dyson helpline.

Hoover Vacuum My Hoover cannister model s3614 "runabout powermax" suddenly lost power to the agitator roller in the rug brush. Where the wire cord enters the power brush, the covering has rubbed off exposing the wires which are not bare but still have their own covering. For a while the power came and went as I manipulated the wires but finally died. Is this something I can fix myself or is it going to be an expensive professional repair? (Warrantee has elapsed.) Thanks.
