Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?
My dyson will not power up, it shorted out at the wall, socket sparked.
Common problem is a break in the wire where it enters machine, caused by accidently stepping on cable when using vacuum. You need to gain access and cut and discard about 3-4 inches from cable end and re-attach, a bit of a fiddly task but won't cost you much. Tools required: Torx 6 and a small crosshead screw driver, wire cutters/strippers, insulation tape. Basic electrical experience (if you can wire a plug correctly you can do this!)

NO POWER My Dyson DCO4 Absolute (purple&lime) won't' switch on. I've checked the plug fuse, wall socket and also filters and hoses on machine all seem fine so think the problem is with the on/off button (maybe loose wire or something) but how do i get to it, is there a special way to remove the green on/off button in order to check the connection? Thankyou in advance for the help i am sure you will be able to provide.
The problem is almost certainly a fatigue break in the flex. These usually happen where the flex enters the handle through the rubber sleeve near the on off switch. You will need to cut about four inches off the wire and reconnect it to the switch. ... Vacuums
I was vacuuming and the power abruptly stopped working. The plug had slightly slid out of the wall socket, but when I put it back in, it wouldn't power up again. The wall socket is working for other appliances.

Does the trivac 1100 have a fuse? My machine has suddenly stopped.I have checked the fuses in the plugs and also made sure that power is at the wall socket. I can see what loks like a fuse holder in the top of the machine near to the on/off switch but it is very tight so I want to be sure that it is a fuse before unscewing it. Thank you Jim

HI, I have a Kenmore 25813 and it seems like there is an intermittent short. When I have the extension wand on and the power floor attachment on, when it rotate the wand the light cuts out and so does the power floor attachment, when I twist it back it comes on again. I don't have this problem if I remove the wand and just use the crevice tool with the hose. Any idea where the short might be and can I fix it myself? Thanks. Gary
