Dyson dc07 How do you take the tank apart to clean the bagless filter?

Answers :

You can take the clear part off pretty easily, but the upper cylcone section is held on by three star screws on the upper -handle end. After taking those off, the handle comes off and it has a long stick that runs down the center of the cylinder. There are now 8 cyclones facing you. Clean them however you want, but I couldn't get it broken down any further. There are three more star head screws down the center, but after taking them out, I couldn't get the purple upper piece apart from the lower, grey piece. So, I just kept it all dry, pounded on it with a rubber hammer to break the crust off everything, ran a screw driver into each of the cylclones to clear them, and put it back together. Make sure you put your hand down at the bottom when you're trying to line up that stick to put the handle portion back on the whole assembly. If it doesn't make it back in it's little home, it won't empty correctly.

I have a Kenmore 116.36932 (upright-bagless vacuum) that the motor protector by-pass valve has opened. I've clean out the area between the agitator brush where the flexible extension hose starts. There was some blockage there. I checked the rest of the system (extenstion hose, back filter area, pipe area to canister and area to side filter. I took the 2 filters out and the by-pass valve is still open. Where else could there be a blockage that I can take apart to clean and put back together

I have had my Bissell 6591-X for 2 years. I hate it! No matter what I do all the fuzz, hair, whatever fills up around the upper filter before it even starts to deposit in the cup. It has done this ever since I bought it. No matter how much I take it apart, clean it, clean filters, empty the cup, nothing does any good. I spill more dirt onto the vacuum and floor than ever gets in the cup. I will never buy another Bissell.

Dyson DC 14 hose has no suction, with or without brush attachments. Hot air shoots out from the base of the canister when I try to use the hose. I cleaned the top filter, but can't figure out how to remove the hepa filter to clean it without destroying the case. It looks like it might take three hands to insert pennies and "flip" the case open as is suggested on a youtube video for a different model. Would this even help, assuming I could get the thing open?

My Hoover Windtunnel, 12-amp, UGG16-900 (or U6616-900 - hard to make out the "G"s from the "6"s) suddenly lost suction this morning.
