Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

I paid to have ny DC07 serviced a few months ago and it still takes a few minutes to start picking up dust . Why do you think this is because I have checked it over thoroughly for blockages . This was why I had it serviced in the first place .

Answers :

There is a selecting mechanism that engages when the handle is brought from the upright position .
It's one of the snap in parts on the right hand side which you actually see pivot when the vacuum is engaged, I just found this out with my own DC07 . When it pivots upward it is then locked in place you can also see a square black button just above the pivot nozzle,it is engaged when the handle is returned to the upright position. This directs suction to either the handle or the brush head. In my case, the pivoting nozzle was not completely engaged in an upward position. Some cleaning and adjusting solved the problem. as you said after a minute or two that the suction commences and there's the reason why, a sticking selector. Take a closer look at that section of the machine.

I have a Bissell ProHeat 2x, and I did something dum. I had some powdered cleaner that said it works with carpet cleaners-well I mixed it in-and the next time I tried to use it, nothing came out. So, I took it part to check what was wrong-and found out that the powdered cleaner solidified in places. I cleared the nozzels, nothing. I think the solenoid, between the heater and nozzels is pluggd, and possibly the heater. I've got a question-could I use CLR to clean the heater, with replacing t

Shampoo-er This seems to be a common problem, the shampooer is putting out alot of water and hardly any suds. I read through the posts about the little filter that sometimes gets out of place and I think I found it in the box - is it about 1" diameter hard plastic ring around very fine mesh? If so where exactly does it go? Some posts say in the hose, and others say in the opening of the tank. Or does it go in the place where the hose attaches to the tray? I also found a round sponge in the box o

Poor suction The actual sweeper seems to work ok, but the hose attachment has some suction but not enough to pick up things I think it should and not enough to make the power brush spin. I've checked everywhere I can for clogs, but I can't see anything. And there doesn't seem to be any way to check to hose itself for clogs. I've cleaned out the container and the filters, but there's still a problem.

Check the inlet down by the brush roll, make sure it is open, if it is then the hose itself must have a clog. If the hose comes off, drop something like a marble in one end and see it it comes out the other end, if it doesn't then you have a clog. ... I was cleaning my carpet using my hoover steamvac ls. I had already changed the water 3 times. NO POWER My Dyson DCO4 Absolute (purple&lime) won't' switch on. I've checked the plug fuse, wall socket and also filters and hoses on machine all seem fine so think the problem is with the on/off button (maybe loose wire or something) but how do i get to it, is there a special way to remove the green on/off button in order to check the connection? Thankyou in advance for the help i am sure you will be able to provide.

The problem is almost certainly a fatigue break in the flex. These usually happen where the flex enters the handle through the rubber sleeve near the on off switch. You will need to cut about four inches off the wire and reconnect it to the switch. ... Vacuums
