Bypass thermal cut out - Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Answers :

Hi Pam,

If your machine seems to be overheating and cutting out during use, this is likely to be due to a blockage - the filter may also need a wash. The easiest way to locate and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

http://support.dyson.co.uk/support/dc07/dc07-standard/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/how-to-wash-filters/wand-suction

In normal use, the filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months, as shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for it to dry completely before replacing it.

This should resolve the issue, but if you're still concerned, please get in touch with us directly so we can provide some further advice. You can call us free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).

Best wishes,

Jack
