I have a dyson dc07 with a malfuncitoning clutch diagnosed here on fixya. I've replaced the clutch and the grinding noise when the clutch is engaged for carpet and non rotating brush problem presists. This is after replacement of the clutch with a new part. Install of the new part went well and there are no otehr apparent problems with the unit. Ideas? The unit is only a couple years old and not used that much on carpet. For an expensive vacuum I'm not that impressed with it at this point.

I have an animal dyson. The front nose dives into the carpet when moving the dyson in the forward motion, fine when pulling back. A huge amount of effort is required to move it forward. Took it to a technician and he said he could find nothing wrong. He had only short nap carpet for test. Works fine on short nap, if the carpet nap has any lenght to it like shag, the dyson severly nose dives. It's like the nose is sucked into the carpet. While using, steam stopped coming out in force at the port levels in the head. Suddenly started high pitch whining, pressed button just above connection site and end flew off with great force pouring water onto floor and carpet. Unplugged immediately for safety and unable to get it to deliver steam force again. Less than one year old and used only 8-10 times only in walk areas where there is no carpet with distilled water. Please, advise, cannot find booklet. Thanks So Much, Beverly Crumme

I had used Dyson DC08 to **** out a wet car carpet. A few days later when using the V/C, there was a burning smell. Subsequently I washed the flexible hose, changed the pre-filter and post filter , but I wrongly put the pre-filter in the spot for the post filter. When the V/C was next used, there was again a burning smell and sparks. The filters were switched, but the V/C would not re-start. What shall I do?

I have an Electrolux Commercial Upright vacuum Model U129C. It has a device which turns off the motor driving the beater bar if something gets stuck in it. There is a simple reset button to restart the beater after clearing the obstruction. Just recently on flat dense low pile surfaces the switch cuts in after just a few seconds and turns the beater bar off. This doesn't happen on high pile carpet but the motor doesn't quite sound normal. There is no obstruction - the beater bar can spin freely

The motor is having a problem. There might be two reasons...either the coils inside it got heated up which will be needing rewinding or you can buy a new motor or there r capacitors attached sometimes u can make a check on that also if that's gone Kap ... Vacuums

I've had my Dyson DC14 vacuum cleaner now for approximately 9 months and been very happy with my purchase. However, It is used sparingly maybe twice a week at the very most. The problem is when I try to use the item on my carpet, you have to push really hard to get it to move. It's as though the suction power is far to strong. It certainly doesn't glide as I think it should. It still picks up as usual but I cannot imagine that having to 'force' the machine to move is the normal operating procedu
