Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

Is it safe to use the brush on a dyson dc07 on a carpet

Answers :

Hi Jim,

I'm not sure whether you mean the revolving brush bar at the front of the machine, or the stair tool or dusting brush accessories. However, it should be safe to use any of these on most carpets. If you'd concerned about suitability of this machine for your particular carpets, you may want to consult the carpeting manufacturer, as they will be able to recommend the most appropriate cleaning methods.

If you'd like any further assistance, please call our customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).

Best wishes,

Jack

I have a dyson dc07 with a malfuncitoning clutch diagnosed here on fixya. I've replaced the clutch and the grinding noise when the clutch is engaged for carpet and non rotating brush problem presists. This is after replacement of the clutch with a new part. Install of the new part went well and there are no otehr apparent problems with the unit. Ideas? The unit is only a couple years old and not used that much on carpet. For an expensive vacuum I'm not that impressed with it at this point.

Greetings from GoVacuum,\015\012\015\012If you have replaced the clutch already, then this can really only be one other problem, and that is the roller brush. If the roller brush's bearing have locked up, and the brush is no longer spinn ... Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Hello. I took the sole plate of to clean the brushes on my dyson dc14 however the brush part came out and i put it back in but since then whenever i switch it over to carpet setting it makes this really horrible clicking grinding sound its only new have only used it a couple of times.

You really need to take the sole plate back off and make sure the belt is running exactly where it's supposed to go and not looped over a piece of plastic or anything. I have a DC07 which is not picking up very well. I've cleaned the pre motor filter, was not aware of the post motor and will check. However, do the Dyson brush rollers wear to the point of not picking up things from carpet?

I have an animal dyson. The front nose dives into the carpet when moving the dyson in the forward motion, fine when pulling back. A huge amount of effort is required to move it forward. Took it to a technician and he said he could find nothing wrong. He had only short nap carpet for test. Works fine on short nap, if the carpet nap has any lenght to it like shag, the dyson severly nose dives. It's like the nose is sucked into the carpet. This problem just occured after the wife used the ho

I have a Dyson all-floor model (not the ball). I recently replaced my carpet to a Frieze. Since replacing the carpet, the Dyson is extremely hard to push. It almost forms a "seal" with the carpet. Seems to work fine on Berber carpet and laminate floor. My husband has checked to make sure the brushes are working, hoses are not clogged and belts are OK. I've had it for about a year. It is virutally impossible to push on the new carpet. Any ideas?

Hoover Windtunnel U5750-900 Agitator brush is weak. It turns fine if I tilt the vacuum back, but it slows to almost 1/4 speed when it touches carpet, even on the highest carpet setting. I've replaced the agitator belt twice. The brush used to turn powerfully even on the lowest (Hard Floor) setting. Ideas? I should probably lube the agitator brush ball bearings, and re-check the belt, but, other than that, I'm stumped.

My Dyson Animal has good suction and works fine for actually picking up dirt, but when I use the vacuum with the roller, I hear a grinding/rumbling noise. Its only when I use the vacuum with the brush rotating. It does not happen hen I shut the roller brush off. The belt is fine. I cannot figure out what is wrong as there are no clogs, debris, or foreign objects stuck in the brush or in the belt. The noise seems to be the only issue. The vacuum picks up fine. It just doesn't sound right a

Trace the path of the suction into the tank and see if there is anything loose or ingested.\015\012Also, remove the brush and clean as best you can. Perhaps there is something caught in it. Lubricate where it makes sense with some WD40. ... Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Dc07 problem I have a dc07 cyclonic vaccum and like this model, however, for some reason,it has been very dificult to push and pull for the past month or so. i have completely cleaned the brush assembly, cleared any obstructions in the hoses, and, cleaned the filter.I also checked the belt tension, wich i thought was fine but to no avail.Be advised that the brush assembly is spinning and suction is excellent. My Dyson DC 14 is making the horrible "ratcheting"sound only when the brush is engaged on the carpet setting. I have cleaned the brush, so there are no obstructions, the canister is empty and properly on the unit. I checked to make sure all of the "traps" and hoses are clear of obstructions, the belt is on the brush securely and moves freely, the brush itself spins freely, but there is still the "ratcheting" noise. Any other suggestions?
