Having problems with your Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

How do I replace the part where the hose snaps into? It's directly behind the switch plate.

\015 It's directly behind the switch plate. It looks like a simple part but it may be attached to the whole assembly.\015

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your inquiry. If you are referring to the flexible hose and where it connects to the machine (which is at the base), the entire duct assembly would require replacement. However, if you are referring to the wand handle, and where it connects to the machine behind the power button (or where the hose connects to the wand handle), part replacement is possible.

We would appreciate the opportunity to help you determine which part is necessary to resolve this problem. Please call us directly at 1-866-693-9766 (US) or 0800 298 0298 (UK) so we can provide further assistance.

Best wishes,

Jessica

Question; how do I attach the hoses to the blower? The motor has that cap on it the direct the flow of air in one direction and the wide hoses do not fit over it. I may be missing a part, but I would think the directional cap would have to come off anyway.

Kirby Vacuum Hi Bruce, In my opinion, yes the Kirby would be worth it, as long as you are not replacing the motor. The switch would be the most expensive part besides the motor that would need to be replaced. The switch costs USD 49.99, the cord is roughly $39.99, and the carbon brushes are $29.99. I can easily walk you through any of these repairs should you need help. Kirby's are great vacuum cleaners, that usually last 30+ years. Brand new these machines sell in the US for $1600 or more,
