Dyson DC07 Filter Release Catch removal

\015 Thanks for your help with this problem. I understand what you mean, but the part that forms the bend in the bottom of the pipe is in the way. As I said, I have removed what looks like the retaining screw on the bottom but although this loosens it, it will not come free far enough to bet to the back of the green retaining catch to be able to tap it out. I don't want to force it as you say it is very brittle. Do I need to take another part off first?\015

Yes sorry i know what mean you need to remove the motor casing to reduce the risk of breaking any parts. Lay dyson on the front and remove the bottom plate and roller bar. Now you need to remove the belt from the motor pin lay on left side look t the round clip located next to the wheel which is holding the whole floor atachment to the chasse. Remove the clip with a flat ended screwdriver then flip to opposite side and repeat the same. The floor atachment should be moved to the down position as far as possible. now you can remove the the bottom attechment starting from the opposite side to the belt now undo the four screws on the bottom of the chassis and remove the screws under the other filter on top of the moter now remove the top cover now the piece in the way should move out.

On the DC07, the entire cyclone assembly must be removed to empty the dust, debris, etc. collected when vacuuming. On the top of the cyclone is a "trigger" that you lift with your finger to release the bottom catch, which allows a clear flap to open on the "clear bin," thus letting all the debris fall out. My problem is when you lift the finger trigger, it does not release the catch on the bottom. Since the catch won't release, I cannot remove the entire clear bin either from the cyclone.Any sug
