Dyson o7 animal pick up problems

\015 It picks up dirt and dog hair but it won't pick up fuzz. I have dark carpet and my husband wears white socks that get lint on it. Why do I have to go over the same piece of fuzz 6 or 8 times from 4 different directions and it still doesn't always get it. I have cleaned every filter in the vacuum that it mentions in the directions. It's very frustrating.\015\012thanks for ny help before hand.\015

Hi.

\015\012If your machine is A few years old it may need new brush roller fitted.
\015\012
\015\012To check roller for wear lie machine on the floor & pull back head end as if vaccuming carpet.
\015\012
\015\012Now get A rule or straight edge hold this over brush roller & sole plate oppening.
\015\012
\015\012Now rotate brush slowly by hand the bristles of the brush should just kiss the edge of rule. If ther is a gap you will need toreplace the roller.

My Dyson Animal is not picking up very well in the drive position. With the hose the pick up is still very good. I have had it for 2 yrs now with very little problems. I have cleaned out all areas etc pipes, the brush underneath and cant find any blockages. The noise of the dyson is the same as usual. Could you tell me if there is a part that it sounds like it needs?

I have an animal dyson. The front nose dives into the carpet when moving the dyson in the forward motion, fine when pulling back. A huge amount of effort is required to move it forward. Took it to a technician and he said he could find nothing wrong. He had only short nap carpet for test. Works fine on short nap, if the carpet nap has any lenght to it like shag, the dyson severly nose dives. It's like the nose is sucked into the carpet. Dyson animal won't start. Never had any problem with this vacuum. No apparent problem. No electrical problem with house or outlet. If there are some common things I could check/fix, things that might go wrong, I would like to check them out and get this machine going again.

Hi there, if the machine was running and cut out in use, this could be due to the motor overheating. The cause of this would be a blockage or a dirty filter. These checks can be found in the Support section on our website at www.dyson.com. ... Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I have a 4 year old pink dyson that I've loved until recently. It's always been easy to unclog when it wasen't picking up-now it seems maybe a seal problem has occured. My Dyson Animal has good suction and works fine for actually picking up dirt, but when I use the vacuum with the roller, I hear a grinding/rumbling noise. Its only when I use the vacuum with the brush rotating. It does not happen hen I shut the roller brush off. The belt is fine. I cannot figure out what is wrong as there are no clogs, debris, or foreign objects stuck in the brush or in the belt. The noise seems to be the only issue. The vacuum picks up fine. It just doesn't sound right a

My dyson dc animal's brush is not spinning. The machine smells like burning rubber. I believe the clutch has gone out but the machine also only sucks from the top of the hose in the handle. I am wondering if the machine is not locking properly which is causing the brush to not need to spin. If this is the problem how do i fix this problem.

I have the Dyson animal upright vacuum. It's 2 years old and now it just isn't working as well as it once did. Suction seems to be lacking - it's not picking up pet hair or much else from the carpet. I have to go over the spot for a few minutes and still, the hair isn't picked up.

I have removed the sole plate and the brush bar is cracked so I removed it, but I understand the clutch maybe a problem also from reading other people's comments..how can I tell if it's a clutch problem also? Or... could it be just the brush bar being cracked that's causing the loud noise?

I've had my Dyson DC14 vacuum cleaner now for approximately 9 months and been very happy with my purchase. However, It is used sparingly maybe twice a week at the very most. The problem is when I try to use the item on my carpet, you have to push really hard to get it to move. It's as though the suction power is far to strong. It certainly doesn't glide as I think it should. It still picks up as usual but I cannot imagine that having to 'force' the machine to move is the normal operating procedu
