Hi,

\015\012I had the same problem with my DC08. What I had found is that cleaning the main washable filter will remove the problem. I have a log fire at my place and I have found that the vacuum does not like the dust from the fire. Even though I sweep up any ash before vacuuming, the problem still exists. At times over winter I will have to clean the filter every week as it doesn't take long for the relief valve to start to open. Over summer, I have no relief valve problems at all. Hope this helps.

I have a Dyson DC07 Yellow Vac, I use this vacuum professionally and clean it after every job so there is no issues with the filter which are replaced regularly. When you turn it on it makes a noise as if it were blocked....I have checked all pipes, hoses and now disassembled the machine to the point where the motor is out. I have found that a small rubber valve or bleed valve (Attached to the right hand detachable filter housing and activated via an internal spring) is popping when the vac

Im not sure about this relief valve - if its a valve that has a flipable catch on the back of the handle its not always supposed to pop open. I took the cover off the brush so I could cut off all the hair that was wrapped around it (vacuum was working fine, I just noticed the hair). I pulled the brush/spinner thing off one side, cleaned everything, popped it back in where it belonged, and tried to make sure the belt was in the proper alignment. However, when I turned the vacuum on, it makes a horrible noise like I'm sucking up rocks. What have I done wrong in putting it back together? It seemed simple...

There is a rubber valve on the top of Dyson DC14 all floors. When the vacum is locked in its upright position or the hand wand is used there is a whistling sound coming out of the valve. When the vac is used as a floor vac, it does not make the sound. Is this something that I can fix? Is there an obstruction somewhere that would be causing this sound? thank you.

I bought a used vacuum seal machine (hobart model ht-120) it does excellent vacuum but it doesnt seal correctly all the time. it seems like there is something wrong with the valve that activates the bar that goes up and makes pressure and heats the bag for complete sealing. The heating is perfect but what is not working is what make the bar go up and down.

Recently my central vac system started making a louder than usual and laboured sound when in uise, enough so that I took note and inspected the canister and motor while running. The motor was trowing off blue sparks and looked like it could 'POP' at any moment. I will not risk using it until I know what the problem is and how to repair it. My assumption is the motor needs to be replaced. The system came with the resale house I bought 3 yrs ago but I do not know the age of the system itself.
