Dyson DC14 hose attachment

\015 I just bought a dyson DC14 All Floors. It was a floor model, so it didn't have the manual. I looked at the manual on-line, but it wasn't any help. So, my question is...\015\012How do you use the hose attachment? Where/how to you attach it for suction?\015

Answers :

Hose attachment On my dyson dc 25 the hose attachment is very hard to pull off. It seems like something is getting hung up when i try to pull up the hose.

DC07 DYSON REPLACEMENT HOSE. HOW DO YOU REMOVE IT FROM THE HANDLE. I have a kenmore whispertone 8540 canister vaccum. The electrical wires (3) to power the beater are embedded in the hose, in a spiral fashion. The yokes that hold the hose on both ends (and attach to the beater on one end and the unit on the other) have no screws or pressure latches; i don't want to use brute force as i may damage the attachment device inside the yoke. If someone can tell me the trick to get these yokes off each

Dyson DC 14 hose has no suction, with or without brush attachments. Hot air shoots out from the base of the canister when I try to use the hose. I cleaned the top filter, but can't figure out how to remove the hepa filter to clean it without destroying the case. It looks like it might take three hands to insert pennies and "flip" the case open as is suggested on a youtube video for a different model. Would this even help, assuming I could get the thing open?

My dyson DC17 will not turn on unless the handle is pulled back.(into the vacuuming position) The attachment hose will not work at all (0 suction thru it). I've checked the hose and made sure there is no obstruction. Any ideas?

Not sure if I can help, but I'll try. The DC17 has two motors: the vacuum motor and a separate motor for the brush bar. My dyson vacuum cleaner doesn't seem to have the same suction power it used to. I have cleaned out the canister and have taken apart the vacuum head (for cleaning carpets) and it doesn't seem to be blocked but it seems to lose suction by the time it reaches the head. The suction is strong at the end of the hose (where you attach the telescopic attachment with vacuum head) Any ideas? Thanks, Irene

No suction Just received my refurb. dyson animal bagless. Finally figured out how to get it all together, turned it on and there is no suction coming up thru the beater bar. The hair is just collecting around the bar and not going up into the canister. It appears all the suction is going thru the open red end of the attachment hose, which has a vented cover piece. Am I missing a piece or is there a switch to turn of the attachment suction?

So the red hose isn't connected to a part on the vaccum so like it is connected to the connester but not to an opening just above the beater bar, this is the only idea i can supply you with. good luck, maybe i got lucky and helped you out. ... Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
