Having problems with your Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?
The brush on my dyson ds14 will no move.
\015 The belt is intact and everthing else works. I brought the sweeper at a yard sale. athe sweeper is just like new. I called Dyson and the support department had me to take the cover off of the brush and made sure the belt was in line then I was told to turn the carpet lever up and down 5 or 6 times and then turn on the sweeper but the brush still did not work. I was then told to find a service store.\015
Can u turn the brush by hand with the vac off. Sounds like a bushing on the brush is siezed or mabe the belt is worn out and too loose. Try replacing the belt

My Dyson DC 14 is making the horrible "ratcheting"sound only when the brush is engaged on the carpet setting. I have cleaned the brush, so there are no obstructions, the canister is empty and properly on the unit. I checked to make sure all of the "traps" and hoses are clear of obstructions, the belt is on the brush securely and moves freely, the brush itself spins freely, but there is still the "ratcheting" noise. Any other suggestions?
Our DC33 was making the same ratcheting sound immediately upon placing the cleaner/brush head on the carpet. We carefully pulled the beater/brush bar out of the vacuum. Once removed, we pulled the black plastic end off of the center rod. We discovere ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

My purple Dyson Animal (without the ball) isn't working correctly. When I turn it on, the red power light, as well as the medium pile buttons flashes. When I first turn it on, the brush rotates for 3 to 5 seconds, then once I start moving the vacuum, it stops and that's when the lights start flashing. I've checked the filters, they are dry and installed correctly. What could be the problem?

I was vacuuming my room and all of a sudden I hear this loud noise, then notice the roller brush isn't spinning. Thinking too much hair was caught I separated it from the rod and hose to clean it out, but noticed that the roller brush didn't move at all while I was cleaning it. I've cleaned the brush before and it would roll around with little effort, but this time I couldn't move it at all.
