My DC 14 makes a terrible noise when I am vacuuming on carpet, so I put it in the upright postion and it stops. I but down the head and the noise will stop. If I bump the head it will start making the noise.

If the noise is rattly then it means the drive belt needs replacing, if your model has a protective brush on/off mode on the front plate where you would normally put your foot, it would have to be repaired officially by a repairer. Replacing a protec ... Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

November 2008 I bought a Simac Stirella 9000D steam generator iron. Recently its been leaking water out the bottom of the regenerator. It makes a noise when it is trying to get the steam to the iron and it works then but afterwards when the noise stops it stops steaming and I find a puddle of water underneath the regenerator. Also a little steam comes out of the water tank at the top. I understand this is happening because of scale in the base unit. Can I get something to get rid of the scale? -

I have a Model 116.35922500 Kenmore upright vacuum cleaner. It makes a loud air noise when using the vacuum. I have disconnected and removed the hose to see if anything is lodged in the hose and it appears clear. It makes the noise when the hose is connected. When I remove it, the noise stops. When I place my hand over the hose, the nose re appears. I sounds as though the noise is coming from the fan or internal parts of the machine. So, when there is a load or pull on the machine, it mak

Kenmore upright vac model 33922 - good suction but developed loud whining noise after accidentally vacuuming room without bag. Added bag and changed both filters. Still makes noise. How can I stop noise?

The bag is the first stage in your filtration. Most times what you did will draw fine dust right through the filters and into the motor itself, affecting the bearings and clogging the motor fans, throwing them off balance. The fact that there i ... Kenmore 33922 Direct Drive Bagged Upright Vacuum

My brush roller stopped spinning so I had to take it off and clean out all the hair that had gotten wound around it. I replaces it and now it is make a lound noise, but only when the brush is on. Could it be the belt making such a loud sound? It wasn't making this noise before.

Could very well be the belt.\015\012When cleaning the brush it is a good idea to add some WD40 at the ends where the plastic pieces are that hold the brush in the vacuum. My Dyson DC 14 is making the horrible "ratcheting"sound only when the brush is engaged on the carpet setting. I have cleaned the brush, so there are no obstructions, the canister is empty and properly on the unit. I checked to make sure all of the "traps" and hoses are clear of obstructions, the belt is on the brush securely and moves freely, the brush itself spins freely, but there is still the "ratcheting" noise. Any other suggestions?
