Having problems with your Dyson DC15 All Floors - The Ball Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

When vaccum is tilted back suction does not engage.

Answers :

This can happen if two tiny wires that are connected to the circuit board and lead to the beater bar are broken. These wires brake where they go through a black rubber grommet. You need a torx screwdriver (No: 15) to remove two plastic covers to access these wires . When looking from the front of the vacuum, the circuit board is located under the gray covers on the right side of the vacuum. There is one big cover with a black rubber gasket and other small gray cover is on the rotating ball area.
Once covers are removed check both yellow and blue wires carefully. Wires may look intact but the break may occur inside the black grommet. Slowly and carefully push grommet out and then carefully pull wires to the one side. If a wire is loose or broken you will immediately see the break. You can replace wires using replacement part given below or if you are OK with using soldering iron you may be able to repair broken wires without any expense.

Best solution is to replace broken wires with a new set of wires and connectors having fed the wires through the access hole making sure enough wire was available for the movement of the handle. Also ensure that when the covers are replaced they do not trap any wires underneath.

Infinity Vaccum by Shark, model number NV31COS, will not start. The vacuum was running just fine until it grabbed the edge of a curtain. Turned it off to release the suction. Turned it back on and was working fine. About a minute later the vacuum was making an odd noise. Every 2 seconds or so it would "heave" (lack of a better word) then go away, then come back and so on. Turned the vacuum off and checked for blockage, none that could be seen or felt, and now the vacuum won't turn. Any suggestio

I have a dyson animal dc24. It is 7 months old and has stopped working. The hand tool is working fine but when I insert it to engage in normal vaccuming the suction stops. I can hear a strange air sound. Also the brush is spinning but it is not picking up. I have taken it apart and checked for a clog but I don't see one. Any advice?

I purchased a Eureka C4910 last year and have a question that I am hoping you can answer. There are two motor actions with this vacuum, 1) the vacuum suction, and 2) the beater bar. The action of the beater bar is that motor is supposed to automatically shut off when the handle is in the complete vertical position assuming the vacuum is stationary, but then turn on when the handle is tilted toward the floor, assuming the vacuum is moving back and forth. The beater bar motor turn-on mechan

I have a kirby sentria vaccum carpet shampoo system and I cannot get the shampoo suction head to work! It comes on but the belt is not turning. I have tried taking it off and looking at the assembly but no luck. And I have tried turning the belt engage lever to off and on to see if it makes any diference.

I had the same problem at first but figured it out. Make sure before you put it on the vacuum itself, that the shampooing unit is completely together. The belt needs to be taunt like it would be when the brush is turning. Once you put it on and turn ... Vacuums

DC25 telescoping handle does not seat tightly. When pulling the vac back it unseats about 2 inches. This prevents the hose from engaging securely in the base and suction is affected. My Bissell ProHeat 2x is pouring water out of the bottom anytime it's turned on. I had it in the shop for no water, took it back again for the same problem, took it back again because it had no suction, finally took it apart and found the problem with the suction and fixed it myself. Worked fine for a day and now it is constantly leaking water, if it's turned on, and is useless for anything except for making a mess.

Took the unit apart and discovered my heater had small pinholes in the metal and they had put in silicone, instead of a gasket, which didn't seal. Poor Suction Heya! So I just picked up a used Dyson, but when I vacuum with it, the suction is pretty weak and it spits all kinds of stuff out the back and into my feet. When I pull the hose I have good suction, but in regular mode it hardly picks up anything. The brushes are spinning, and it eventually will clean an area if I go over it again and again. Maybe a clog somewhere? Please tell me that Dysons have better suction than my $50 Dirt Devil! Thanks!

My Dyson DC14 Animal doesn't have the suction it used to. The piece in the back on the bottom - a flap it appears - stays open now, causing the machine to make a louder noise than usual. At first, if I put my hand on the flap opening it would close, allowing for normal suction. Now, it stays "open" permanently", causing the loss of suction.
