I have a Dyson 15 "the ball". The beater bar will only rotate if the vacuum is engaged and the handle at a high angle. The bar stops when I drop the handle to a lower position. The condition is repeatable. Can you provide part and repair instructions?

Placing the handle of my Dyson DC07 into its upright and locked position causes the beater bar to stop turning. It will not start turning until the handle is first lowered to the working position and the Carpet/Bare knob is moved to the Bare Floor position and then back to the Carpet position. Then the beater bar turns until the handle is placed into the upright position. What might be the problem?

Dyson animal loses suction when I let the handle down from the upright position to use, I've cleaned the foam filter, and the plastic filter holder and dried thoroughly, removed and cleared the right side U-bend, and the center, rear U-bend access, also made sure nothing was in the way of the beater bar. Any thoughts? thanks. lorri

Is the noise a loud screaming or a grinding/vibration? The screaming is an air flow problem and you'll want to check your hoses are clear and all the seals are tight. I purchased a Eureka C4910 last year and have a question that I am hoping you can answer. There are two motor actions with this vacuum, 1) the vacuum suction, and 2) the beater bar. The action of the beater bar is that motor is supposed to automatically shut off when the handle is in the complete vertical position assuming the vacuum is stationary, but then turn on when the handle is tilted toward the floor, assuming the vacuum is moving back and forth. The beater bar motor turn-on mechan

My dyson animal is hard to push on carpet - the beater bar is still operational. When I turn off the beater bar and run the vacuum on hardwood the beater bar stops moving, but it still ''rolls'' on the hardwood - it doesn't pull up like it used to. It also seems to not be picking up as well as it used to, although no blockages are present and the filter is clean.

I have the Eureka 4870 "The Boss" Smart Vac. The beater bar began to turn constantly and can't be shut by moving the Brush Roll Contol to Bare Floor position or the machine to the upright postion. It has also eaten two new belts. A local tech says he has seen this problem whereby the free-wheel assembly that makes contact with the belt to engage the beater bar is misalgned and cannot disengage. It is usually the chassis which would mean replacement of enough parts that would not be worthwhile

No suction Just received my refurb. dyson animal bagless. Finally figured out how to get it all together, turned it on and there is no suction coming up thru the beater bar. The hair is just collecting around the bar and not going up into the canister. It appears all the suction is going thru the open red end of the attachment hose, which has a vented cover piece. Am I missing a piece or is there a switch to turn of the attachment suction?

So the red hose isn't connected to a part on the vaccum so like it is connected to the connester but not to an opening just above the beater bar, this is the only idea i can supply you with. good luck, maybe i got lucky and helped you out. ... Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
