Hi Susan,

\015\012We'd strongly advise against attempting to disassemble the cyclone pack, as this is likely to snap the internal bin-base release rod, and can also reduce the performance of your machine.

\015\012If you're concerned about the smell from your machine, I'd encourage you to get in touch with us directly, by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US). One of our advisors will be happy to run through some troubleshooting checks to make sure the smell is coming from the cyclone pack. They'll also be able to offer advice on the best way to resolve this issue without damaging your machine.

We'll look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,

My Bissell Quicksteamer Model 1960-R won't spray cleaning solution. I have cleaned it and taken apart the whole thing. I can't find any problems. The holes are not cloged where the water comes out as I disconnected it and blew through it to be sure. The lines show water trying to go through. It is as if it doesn't have enough power to pump the water out when I squeeze the trigger. I am thinking it is the pump thing but can't find a replacement part for it.

I have a Dyson Animal upright (purple). I took it apart to clean the cyclone chambers. When re-assembling the bottom closed before the opening rod was inserted. I can't get the opening rod installed with the bottom opening closed. How do I open it? Thanks.

I looked in our DC07. I would try removing the top again and getting a long dowel or the opening rod, insert it down into the unit and PUSH. The opening rod opens the latch by pushing it, not pulling it. Here are some pictures of the latch. Top pi ... Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Had my dyson root cyclone for about 4 years now, and in the last year it's had a few problems. About 4 months ago it started to make this awful grinding sound when the roller bar was engaged and I took it to a repair shop and they said it was the roller bar itself. The shop replaced the part and it worked fine for a couple of months and then it started to make the grinding noise again. I tried the clutch reset suggestion (turn it on its side and turn the carpet/bare floor switch slowly back and

My Dyson DC17 has lost suction on the wand and is not picking up dirt as it should. I have taken the small part at bottom of the machine off to see if there is a blockage--none that I can see. The flexible tube on wand is very tight and won't extend very much. Dyson sent me a new cyclonic part in April but the machine still doesn't seem to be working properly. My serial number is 260-us-d11545. Is there somewhere I can take my Dyson to get it fixed. I'm very frustrated with it. Thank you.

My older Dyson DC14 (the purple one) early model with a clutch on the beater bar belt needs a clutch replacement.
