My Hoover Windtunnel Mach 6.9 brush roller quit working. Upon investigating I found that the idler arm pulley was broken so I managed to replace that. Before putting the cover back on I see the control knob for the roller brush moves a plastic piece left or right to activate/deactivate the brush roller. I don't know where this plastic piece connects. It appears to me that the idler are when raised creates tension on the belt which drives the roller. I'm at a loss trying to figure ou

I'm using Miele Medivac vacuum and I just sucked in a small plastic eye drop container by accident(I sometimes take off the brush part to **** in 'small enough' articles). And it is jammed in the part where the plastic hose connector bends. I think I can take it out if I can just disconnect the long necked plastic hose connector that connects the metal wand part and the hose part. Is it designed to be disconnected or should I not even try it?

Lost suction my DCO7 lost suction in the hose I started taking it apart and cleaning it and looking for clogs (probably more than I should have) and when I put it back together it has awesome suction in the hose but no suction in the base. Not sure if I can help, but I'll try. The DC17 has two motors: the vacuum motor and a separate motor for the brush bar.
