My Sharp EC-l2TWT4 throws belts and I noticed the motor shaft was not running straight. My wife took it to my local dealer in Brainerd,Mn and they said it was fine.So I took it apart and found the plastic motor housing had melted at some point letting the motor twist out of alignment. Other than this, everything works great. Can I order this plastic housing piece somewhere?

I checked the schematics for that model and the motor housing for that model is no longer available. Your best bet is to either attempt to find a used part or trade it in and get a new unit. I have a Kirby Heritage II which normally works amazingly well, but it's not playing at all nicely today - and of course we have apartment inspections tomorrow. *dies* The belt broke today (as did the replacement belt, which I'd bought at the same time, so apparently the rubber was old), so I went over to Stark's to get some new ones - but it still won't cooperate. I've taken the head apart and put it back together several times, to be sure that everything is properly seated, but it's just not

I have two old identical 5842's that I use in the garage and around the house. The belt broke on one so I bought a bag of 2 genuine Eurika "U" belts, which is the correct belt for this vacuum. They were obviously smaller than the original belt because they were not stretched out. When I put the new belt on it lasted about 20 minutes and then came off. I put it back on and ran the vacuum with the cover off to see what was wrong. Everything looked fine except the belt rides to the outside edge of

Not 100% sure this is the remedy for that particular problem, but I would take the time to clean both of the brushes that the belts operate, one on each machine.\015\012Remove the brushes and clean as best you can. The brush wouldn't work when the selector switch was in carpet mode. Took the power head apart and removed the motor. Everything o.k. in the power head. Checked and found that the neutural wire had pulled out of the connector, the connector was never crimped at the factory. What a day! Took 2 hours and a large pizza to get it done. Neutral wire was in the hose just below the handle. Reconnected the wire and crimped it, put everything back together. It works!!!!

I have a DC07 and the brush wasn't rotating and I had no suction at the brush but perfect suction through the hose. I noticed a large build up of dog hair around the brush so I took off the cover plate and removed all the hair, cleaned inside the floor/brush housing and cleaned out the hose. I also cleaned the filter and removed the other air access cover and made sure that they were clear. I put everything back and the brush still doesn't turn and there is still no suction through the bottom

Replaces the belt on dirt devil dynamite pluse model put everything back together started it and it burt the new belt up that fast. I put it around the beater brush and the metal bar I thought it should go around, yet it seemed like there should be something else there to put the belt on. What do you suggest? Bissell Pro Heat 7901 will spay through hose but not the floor and red flow indicator will not spin. So we took the housing off and after unclogging a hose running to the hearter, my husband unhooked the hose that goes to the flow indicator, blew in it and it started spinning.
