Having problems with your Dyson DC25 All Floors Bagless Upright Vacuum ?

I keep searching for an answer and nothing seems to understand my issue. It's not that the handle wont go back into postition.. the extended peice of the handle used for specific areas such as stairs ; I don't know how to return it back to its orignal position so I can resume vaccumming.

Answers :

Hi there,

To reattach the wand and handle to the cleaner to resume floor vacuuming, just place the handle back onto the main cleaner body. The wand will then retract automatically down inside the hose - simply guide it back down through the handle until you hear an audible 'click'.

If this is not the problem you're referring to, I'd encourage you to contact us directly so we can determine exactly what issue you're experiencing, and provide the information and assistance you need. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Our dustbuster (dont' have model number with me-sorry) won't turn off when I pull back on the switch handle. I disassembled the unit and realize that the tab on the switch handle that pulls back on the internal switch handle to turn it off is not strong enough for its simple task. I have a Kenmore 116.36932 (upright-bagless vacuum) that the motor protector by-pass valve has opened. I've clean out the area between the agitator brush where the flexible extension hose starts. Hello, I got a used Kirby Sentria. When I run the vaccum and push and pull on the handle, I can hearing a friction type noise. I got up close to the vaccum and it is not the wheels or roller. It is coming from the base of the handle. It's like it is pushing on something on the vaccum body and is creating the noise. Maybe transmission? Is this normal, or is it something I should be concerned about? Thanks for your help!

My handle won't go back up after an extended vacuuming session during which I used the hand/broom/animal hair attachments several times, thus pulling the hose out/putting it back in, starting/ stopping, and suddenly no matter what I do short of forcing it (and even if I try forcing it a bit) I can't raise the handle to put it away.

I have a Kenmore vacuum cleaner model #116.34720. The problem I am having is that if you are rolling the vacuum around, the base will drop without pressing on the handle release pedal. This often results in a bunch of dirt being dumped back out. The manual doesn't show anything about adjusting the handle release pedal so it holds the handle and base in an upright position better. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Dear Sir: I just purchased a Bissell Rug Shampooer at a garage sale. The only thing I find for a model is on the back and it says Model 1695 there. Nothing on front. It is Navy blue and has a grey tank on it with a smaller one inserted at bottom of the large tank. It has two switches on the back of it and the trigger switch at the handle. The cleaner works, BUT, it does not extract any water back into the tank that is to pick up the dirty water. Could you suggest what I may look at t

I have just purchased two (2) Electrolux Nimble vacuum cleaners. Not one, but both, straight out of the box, the beater bars will not run. It turns on, select carpet, and lower the handle, the red light to check beater bar/or filter lights up. You can reset the light by unplugging the unit, then plugging it back in, but with same results. Now the kicker, if you take out the handle, select carpet, lower the body by the carry handle, it will run and operate correctly, however, as soon as you r

Placing the handle of my Dyson DC07 into its upright and locked position causes the beater bar to stop turning. It will not start turning until the handle is first lowered to the working position and the Carpet/Bare knob is moved to the Bare Floor position and then back to the Carpet position. Then the beater bar turns until the handle is placed into the upright position. What might be the problem?

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I also have a Hoover upright and I need to replace the electrical cord. I have dimantled the back, where the tools are stored, and the hose.
