I have the Dyson Animal and I just bought it in January and my hose does not work. Mine you pull the hard part out and once it reaches the end it will click off of the top of the vacuum. I cannot pull it out. It is stuck.

Dyson have a two year warranty, they are a really good company and I would recommend calling them and asking them to fix the problem. Better that than trying to do it yourself and you end up breaking it and then invalidating the warranty. ... Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

No suction. I have followed the detachable parts no suction. I have followed the detachable parts and it seems to have suction through to the base but doesn't pick up anything significant. I have looked through the hose connecting the base but I can not see anything obstructing it.

Poor suction can be caused by obstructions, poor air flow or a compomise in the air flow (hole in the hose). Since you have started with that I would next look at all filters and clean them. First check for suction at the motor, then at accessory hos ... Vacuums

My dyson slim vacuum doesn't switch from hose to floor mode. I thought the foot lever was broken. I realigned it but it doesn't switch now from floor mode to hose mode. I have a dyson dc21. All the sudden the hose is hardly suctioning up anything. If I take the canaster off, the top air hole suctions extrememly well, but when I place that canister back on, the suction is not going thru the hose and picking anything up. I have squeezed the hose, I feel no air leaking and do not feel any blockages...what could be wrong. It worked fine the other day and today, it won't pick up a piece of lint!

Poor Suction Heya! So I just picked up a used Dyson, but when I vacuum with it, the suction is pretty weak and it spits all kinds of stuff out the back and into my feet. When I pull the hose I have good suction, but in regular mode it hardly picks up anything. The brushes are spinning, and it eventually will clean an area if I go over it again and again. Maybe a clog somewhere? Please tell me that Dysons have better suction than my $50 Dirt Devil! Thanks!

I have a Dyson all-floor model (not the ball). I recently replaced my carpet to a Frieze. Since replacing the carpet, the Dyson is extremely hard to push. It almost forms a "seal" with the carpet. Seems to work fine on Berber carpet and laminate floor. My husband has checked to make sure the brushes are working, hoses are not clogged and belts are OK. I've had it for about a year. It is virutally impossible to push on the new carpet. Any ideas?

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I have an old Shop Vac model 3331.5. This is a 12 gallon 1.5 hight peak shop vac with a detachable blower. After many years I decided to use the blower feature, but have lost the lost the manual. Question; how do I attach the hoses to the blower? The motor has that cap on it the direct the flow of air in one direction and the wide hoses do not fit over it. I may be missing a part, but I would think the directional cap would have to come off anyway.

Remove the cap that directs the air and insert the hose in there. ... Vacuums

My Kirby shampooer - G4 - hardly used any water from the tank and no suds at all. Pet hair did blow out of the small slotted holes in the tray as I moved the shampooer back and forth, but the carpet was basically dry. I did vacuum before shampooing, so the brush part seemed to work great during shampooing, but no water! The small screen was stuck in the crook of the hose that attached to the tank so I did get that out and put it on the small hole on the tank, but it didn't make any difference. I
