Having problems with your Dyson DCO7 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum ?

Dyson dc04 absolute

\015 Hi Chris,\015\012\015\012I wonder if you could please help me? I think that I need to replace the belt on this, as the bar is not turning. I have bought a replacement belt, there are two in the packet but I cannot find how to get to the belts. I have taken of the plate on the bottom but I still cannot remove it and I have tried to undo it from the top, but I am still having no luck as I am sure that I do not have to dismantel it completely. Oh, by the way when I turn the brush bar by hand the belt revolves but when I plug it in it does not turn. Any help you could give me I would be most grateful for. Thank you.\015\012Kind regards,\015\012Diana\015

Hi Diana.
\015\012
\015\012Your Dyson has A clutch this has 2 belts, One goes clutch to motor the second goes clutch to brush roller.
\015\012
\015\012You have either A snapped motor to clutch belt or the clutch control knob is not rotating to drive position when you pull the handle back to clean carpets.
\015\012
\015\012Firstly check the control knob this is situated on the front lower left hand side of machine.
\015\012EG if your machine is silver & yellow the knob will be yellow approx 2" or 5cm in diameter as I said ensure it moves from off or park to drive if it doesnt move rotate it by hand when you have lowered the handle to vac carpet.
\015\012
\015\012If still no brush roller drive you will need to strip machine down to remove the clutch & gain acces to the belts.
\015\012
\015\012Its A lot of work to explain so try this site http://dysonmanuals.llc.nu/ for clutch removing manual can send via email very quickly.

I have a Dyson 17, the Absolute Brand special for pet hair. I think I have a blockage in the hose. Symptoms are: spewing out fuzz balls and small particles. I have checked all the blockage sites recommended by Dyson and all are clear except a small flexible transparent hose, 6 or 7 inches long, curled up underneath the cleaner head/brush bar unit. Any ideas? I've tried to pull out the stuff stuck in there, but I'm afraid to perforate the hose and I don't know any way to disconnect it.

Try dropping something like marbles into the hose and shake it up and down, may loosen it up enough to draw through.hope this helps you out. ... Vacuums
