I have a Filter Queen Majestic canister vacuum cleaner. At the end of the wand, a button to release the attachement not only broke, but also one eyehole on the wand where one nipple on the button falls into. So therefore a new button isn't going to fix the wand because there isn't a hole on one side of the area where the button falls in place for a nipple to secure the button in place. The suction in the hose of my 2 year old Dyson Animal vacuum is compromised. I may have sucked up a small cat toy or something. Regular vac still is fine. The hose "sucks closed" after a few seconds near the top. I love my Dyson! Please help.

My dyson vacuum cleaner doesn't seem to have the same suction power it used to. I have cleaned out the canister and have taken apart the vacuum head (for cleaning carpets) and it doesn't seem to be blocked but it seems to lose suction by the time it reaches the head. The suction is strong at the end of the hose (where you attach the telescopic attachment with vacuum head) Any ideas? Thanks, Irene

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

I was using my easy flow central vacuum, and shut it off. When I went to start it up again 5 min later, it would not turn on. I emptied out the filter, and reset the switch. My Dyson DC20 motorhead vacuum has a blocked hose - how can I unclog this? I think there is a sock caught up by the handle. The hose has electrical wires running through it so I cannot cut the hose.

My dyson DC17 will not turn on unless the handle is pulled back.(into the vacuuming position) The attachment hose will not work at all (0 suction thru it). I've checked the hose and made sure there is no obstruction. Any ideas?

Not sure if I can help, but I'll try. The DC17 has two motors: the vacuum motor and a separate motor for the brush bar.
