Having problems with your Dyson Vacuums ?

There seems to be a lack of suction on the main unit(brushes). Its fine when using the pipe

Answers :

There is a blockage in the neck where the power head connects to the machine.

Remove the base plate. Look behind the beater bar and you will see where the dirt enters the machine. There is likely something blocking the entry into the machine right at that junction. Simple fish it out and you are good to go.

Hope this helps.

No suction My vacuum does not seem to have much suction when in use. The agitator brush is rotating but I'm not able to get much off the carpet. The suction is fine when I use the attached wand.

My Dyson Animal has good suction and works fine for actually picking up dirt, but when I use the vacuum with the roller, I hear a grinding/rumbling noise. Its only when I use the vacuum with the brush rotating. It does not happen hen I shut the roller brush off. The belt is fine. I cannot figure out what is wrong as there are no clogs, debris, or foreign objects stuck in the brush or in the belt. The noise seems to be the only issue. The vacuum picks up fine. It just doesn't sound right a

The shop she bought it off thought they were being helpful and removed all packaging but seem to have taken instructions as well.

Lost suction I've only used this vacuum a few times, it's practically brand new. Now, one I turn it on, it sounds fine, and the hose feels as if it's getting some suction, but it's not strong enough to actually **** things up from the carpet into the canister. I have completely emptied the canister and bought a new filter. Nothing seems to help.
